I contacted sky a couple of weeks ago complaining about the £60 price, when it was possible to get similar equipment for £20, which I did. Thanks to this forum I saw the £9.99 offer - I was logging in to tell of my success with the sub £20 alternative! Obviously, slightly annoyed that I had now spent £10 MORE rather than £40 LESS, I contacted Sky and they have offered to drop my next bill by £10, so I have effectively paid £10.

You have still paid £10 too much !:) I got mine for free just by being polite with the Sky operator.

on the sky remote if you press the number key 2 (for example) it wil show ABC2abc soto get a lower case a you need to do this 5 times....

to reset your passwordon the hub you'lllneed to go to

http://bthomehub.home and then settings and you can change the password (somewhere in there ...cant remember exactly at the mo)

Many thanks for the advice, I tried this and then contacted Sky, apparently my controller doesn't do this, strangely it did do it when I tried to set up the function manually, but not when followed the instructions with the connector.

I have now managed to get it working, had to reset my homehub back to factory settings, then just press the WPS button it and then WPS on the sky connector, then it worked, but sadly nothing else did, laptop, ipad, iphone, have now sorted this as well. Thank god, the kids were getting really peed off with me messing about with the TV, then knocking out the wireless on everything else, they are now happy and I am going to have a large glass of wine!

i ordered mine, it's ok. I think for £10 i can live with it but for £60 less than impressed. Sometimes it loses connection with the router. I am wondering if it is my broadband but it is virgin and a new router so it should be ok? Still i am happy enough for a tenner :)

I presume this sits on top of your Sky box and ethernet's between the 2?

If so, is an ethernet cable included here for your tenner's worth?

Am I right in thinking this is only of use if ones broadband is with Sky?

As indicated you can use with any BB service. It was a condition of the BBC making the IPlayer available to Sky that they had to make available to all and not just their own BB customers.

Just off the phone to sky. Complained about not having the new sky HD box therefore not able to access sky on demand. After a bit of haggling as they insisted I would have to pay for an upgrade I was put through to cancelations. The chap there could not have been more helpful and managed to get me a new HD box, wireless adapter, sky Hd for a year and engineer installation all for free.Result!!!!!!
