  • Wow thanks for this :)

Just ordered two boxes now, I had been using a vonet wifi bridge which does the same job and was easy to set up but prefer the look of this one.

I wonder can you order as many as you want, might be a nice gift for xmas for someone.

We live quite far out in the country so for downloading on demand we sort of have to pick out what we want and let it download overnight, not sure if this is because of the wifi bridge or not though.

Thank you, my broadband box is not very near my TV so this could be useful. I originally thought about getting it for my another room but the Sky box in there isn't Sky+ and it's not multiroom so that wont work probably.

Sorry to hijack this thread with my dumb question but I hope someone can help me.

I have a silver Sky+ box which is half full of saved programmes, some of which I want to keep. If I upgrade to a black box so I can get one of these on-demand boxes can I still access the content on my old box from a different TV.

How do you run a Sky box in another room without having multiroom service? I'm obviously not very tech-savvy.

You can use a Sky Eye which is easy to set up or if you have a local TV installation person close by they should be able to set it up easy for you if you are not good with cables etc.

Also you should ring Sky chance your arm for an upgrade to a black box and wireless connector :)

    Thanks Murphy306

I have Sky Eyes already, linking my Sky+ box to both my bedrooms, but can I connect the old Sky+ box to my bedroom TV and have a new black Sky+ HD box in my living room at the same time?

I'm not sure auntyS, but I think you need to have your card in the box to view the content, and these days you need to pair a card to a box, so I don't think you'll be able to, no.

Anyone who is struggling to find thid on the net, this can be done on the phone for the same price of £9.99

    Thats a damn good offer.
I tried to get one a month or so ago but the price was prohibitive.

I ended up just getting an ethernet cable, drilled through a wall and that worked for me. luckily my skybox and router were just either side of the wall, but a great offer for someone if they are further apart.

I contacted sky a couple of weeks ago complaining about the £60 price, when it was possible to get similar equipment for £20, which I did. Thanks to this forum I saw the £9.99 offer - I was logging in to tell of my success with the sub £20 alternative! Obviously, slightly annoyed that I had now spent £10 MORE rather than £40 LESS, I contacted Sky and they have offered to drop my next bill by £10, so I have effectively paid £10.

Received mine this morning, and have spent the rest of the day driving myself nuts trying to connect it to my BT home hub 3. The controller only lets me enter Capitals and need to enter small case, have read all sorts of info, but don't really understand. I'm really struggling, have contacted SKY who told me to contact BT and reset my passwords, can't do this either. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I had this problem until I found by accident that you press the letter on the sky remote control until it changes to lower case. You will need todo this for each character. It was all ok after that!
