sky tv wireless adapter

I can't put a link up as on my phone but sky has their wireless adapter for £9.99 on offer instead of £60. It connects your tv to your wireless internet so you can watch bbc i player etc

    Thats a damn good offer.
I tried to get one a month or so ago but the price was prohibitive.

I ended up just getting an ethernet cable, drilled through a wall and that worked for me. luckily my skybox and router were just either side of the wall, but a great offer for someone if they are further apart.

excuse my complete ignorance, does this only work if you have a skyplus box? I don't, just a normal sky box, so what benefit would this
    wireless connector be for me?
  • Yes its just for sky plus boxes. it allows you to cnect the box to your wireless internet without any cables. its for things like on demand tv, bbc i player and also access to more films

Give Sky a ring, see if they have any free offers going on at the moment, its amazing sometimes what they give away.

We had a sky plus box for may years and a couple of months ago they gave us a free sky plus HD box with the condition that it was put in within 28 days, I didnt have to subscribe to sky HD, if I hadnt put it in within 28 days they would then have subscribed me automatically.

Give them a ring, you cant lose anythng except the cost of a call.

    Hi,

I'm no longer a Sky subscriber but I have all the equipment at home. A wireless router with a plusnet broadband connection and a SKY+ HD box. I have managed to retain sky + record/pause/playback features, despite having no account with them but that is through luck more than judgement (another story).

Anyway, can I still make use of this Adapter thingy? Will it only work for Sky customers?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Mark
