One letter, all the account numbers, and one £10 fee (in total, not £10 per account).

Is it usual to receive no response from the bank when they have been sent the 2nd letter threateniing court action? Should I just go ahead with the court application regardless?

This isn't unusual. Just move onto your court claim once your own deadline is up.

  • Hi, my friend, on my prompting, has decided to reclaim charges. Has had a response offering her less than half in reply (560 instead of £1400). Shoulr she take or hold out for more? i told her to hold out after reading all the stuff here but don't want to give bad advice that will cost her the 560! any advice?

    Many thanks! Let battle commence!!!
  • Hi everyone! Just a quick question...Ive just received a list of all my bank charges from HSBC and some of the charges are only £10 each. In your opinion do I have a leg to stand on with reclaiming charges this low? In my opinion £10 is still to much to charge someone for something a computer has dealt with, but obviously I dont want to be the first person to loose a battle in the bank charge war!!
  • Provided the £10 charge is one you can claim, see this thread, thats fine.
