I have added up my charges on the Calculator thingy, with interest, and have printed it out. Is this all I need to send in, with the initial letter template. Or do I need to send the corresponding statements with it. Many thanks.

I am thinking about trying to reclaim my bank charges from Lloyds TSB. It is about £150, but I have a loan and a credit card with them which I would not be able to repay if they canceled them. Are they likely to do this or are they classed as separate to your bank account.
Thanks and sorry if this has already been asked but I am a complete novice to all this.
    Thanks
  • Standard letter you carry on with your next step. Yes its the Sheriff Court.

Can you also tell me - I've written all my letters to my local branch - does this matter?

Do not send your statements anywhere. Keep hold of them.

If the CC and loan are in good order, they should be OK if you claim off your bank account.

please can some one help me out. recieved a letter ogf lloyds tsb today saying that they are going to credit my 475 in to my account in next couple of days as a gesture of goodwil,l and that this is the banks final response which means if i want to carry it on which i do as th:mad:  ey owe me another grand i have to take it to financial ombudsman service. Has anybody else have this written to them and what did you do. Please help.
  • This is a standard letter, send the next letter but add to it that you will accept the £475 as partial payment but will now be taking them to court for the remainder.
  • Hi all. I'm new to all this so you'll have to bear with me! My bank charges were nowhere near some of the amounts being quoted on here but even so, to me, they seemed totally unfair. I was charged £140 last yera for being overdrawn for about 3 days whilst a cheque cleared. I immediately wrote and complained and they refunded £80 as a goodwill gesture. This was before Martin started making us all aware of the charges being illegal etc so I just thanked my lucky stars and accepted it. I'm just wondering whether I should now go back and ask for the other £60. For those who have reclaimed, is it worth the hassle for £60? My account is with Abbey. All advice much appreciated. Thanks.
  • sorry to be a pain thanks for helping me out on that but also who do i right it to as it stated on my letter that they as in lloyds will not be responding to anymore of my letters and told me to contact Financial Ombudsman Service is that right or do i just right back to lloyds.
