  • Hi,

Not sure this really helps but you would be best advised to get everything in writting from the banks and any other organisation.

That way you have it as evidence with name etc.

Phone calls tend to be denied at courts as I have proved for a friend of mine. Luckily I recorded the convversation but it is not allowed as evidence unless you declare it to the person on the other end of the telephone at the start of the conversation.

Paper or emails are best methods and recorded delivery.

    GOOD LUCK
  • Thanks for that, I just feel that 'everyone else' seems to have had their claims sorted sooner!! I think that they are going to defend the case and I will end up with nothing x

    Hi all.
sorry if this has already been answered, do you claim for the standard "monthly account fee" and interest or just the "unauth" overdraft charge?

    thanks in advance

Check with your bank as to what the "monthly account fee" is as you can't claim this if its for having a specific account with benefits attached. You can claim the unauthorised overdraft charge, see this post...

    Hi there,

Sorry if this has been answered previously (I have searched but can't find anything) but does anyone have the address for Barclaycard where I would send my first letter please.

My account I had with them is now closed down which is why I don't have their details so just wondered which address other people had used?

    Thanks
  • Can i please ask for some advice?

I am claiming bank charges from Barclays bank totaling £820.

Sent first letter, have received letter today saying they are looking into my complaint and will be back to me as soon as possible.
Later in the letter they say they may not be able to respond in the timescale i have detailed in my letter but will try to resolve the complaint within 4 weeks.
Sould i still continue to my timescale even though they say they are dealing with or are they just fobbing me off.

First time here, am slighty nervous about whole thing.

This is a standard response. Proceed at your own pace and to your own timescale, not theirs.

The timescales you should have specified are reasonable. Stick to your timetable and do not wait for them for them.

Even after thousands of letters, for some reason, the banks still keep referring to this as a 'complaint'.

Note to banks - There's no investigating to be done, you know the charge was unlawful, so just pay up!!
