On the HCMS Money claim Website, were you enter your details of amount that you are claiming do i put anything in the 'Solicitor's costs'? Im claiming £1140

And there is also a button to check if you want to reserve the right to claim interest.

My claim is including interest worked out from Martins calculator. Do i check this box?

i want to start a claim with my barclays account as i have had a lot of charges since i opened the account 3 or 4 years ago.
i also have an £1100 overdraft and am £300 over that!
will i be able to claim back my charges while this much over or would i be best to repay the £300 first?
i do not have a clue where to start with this either.
where do i get the template letters which i need from?
    sorry its long
    thanks :)

You need to be careful in case the bank decide to close your account. It has happened and the overdraft would be repayable (usually) within 28 days.

The guide and letter templates can be found at the top of the main forum.

On the calculator it asks when was the charge, if it is over a period of time
say five years, do you insert the start date of the amount claimed period ?
  • Hi
Have just signed up to site so am a money saving virgin!

Hubby and I are thinking of claiming bank charges back but I'm concerned with what I've read. We've run a £10k overdraft with Nat West for years and the total bank charges will be considerable. I think we've kept them in business! But if they pull the plug on it we will be stuffed as we couldn't possibly repay it immediately.

    Any advice?
