hi i wonder if any1 can help me...i wassuccessful in getting my charges back from halifax...well sort of. i agreed an amount of 2,000 over the phone, and then had a letter sent confirming that amount. they said in the letter the money will be in my account WITHIN THE NEXT 14 DAYS. well its been 14 days and still nothing....so i rang them and they said that the money will be there within the next 14 BANK DAYS! it seems to me that they are just delaying things again.0

Hi there
i am in the middle of claiming back nearly £1700 for my hubby from barclays.. we are in the middle of the TAKE THEM TO COURT BIT...i have done it through MONEYCLAIM.GOV as advised....as yet though there is nothing else showing up...only the bit where i have actioned the case. My question is... if barclays respond to the court (fingers crossed they dont :-)... will it show up on the web site (tried to download ADOBE as suggested but couldnt make head nor tail of it oooops)..or should we have heard something via the good old postie?..they only have until tuesday...so if i receive nothing through the post can i just click for a judgment by default?
many thanks for any help in advance...from a newbie who is getting serious on keeping an eye on those pennies :-)-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Hi there Edinburghlass
thankyou so much for that.....you made it sooooo simple :-).... the down side is that since checking the status yesterday the bank have now responded, so its now showing as "acknowledged"- i thought they were making it too simple :-).. so i guess we will just have to wait another 14 days to see if they decide to take it any further :-(
many thanks for your help....-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
am ready to fill in mcol but have a couple of questions first I followed all the rules and asked for my money back sent two 14day letters with no reply
when I got my statements letter dated 27/04/07 at the bottom it says
*please send any remaining statements prior to 1st september 2001
I have never received these but keep getting statements from saving account
so
I have received statements (well print outs from 01/08/02
and this is how I have worked my claim out.
I want to know can I take the amount I am claiming from 01/10/02
which is £1038.86 (including interest) and divert it up to estimate the
rest of charges my first letter was sent 14/03/07 which I assume it
the date of my claim.
charges are for 54 months can I divert that by charges and x 72 which gives me
1384.56
I hope you understand what I am getting at and can help me since lloyds
are not going to send me the rest of statements once I have started my claim0 -

Hi
I recently closed my self select investment ISA with TDWaterhouse - was staggered by the closure and admin charges which exceeded £90.
The T&Cs clearly showed these charges but that doesn't make it anymore palatable.
Do I have grounds for a claim ?0
