Its now 2 weeks since i won by default, and Lloyds TSB have not paid.
What now? Do i have to pay for balifs?0 -
Hi,
I recently requested a refund of nearly £900 in default bank charges from Nationwide. I received a reply last week, basically saying they have reviewed my account and are unwilling to refund them. They quote a couple of reasons 1 - I agreed to their terms and conditions when I opened my account and 2 - its unfair to other members. Has anyone else had a similar response and if so, did you eventually get your money repaid?
You'll find the link to the Nationwide thread in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature where you'll read this is a standard letter from the bank.0 -

Hi there
My local court has given a court date and dispensed with allocation questionnaire. Does this mean I dont have to pay another fee? Do you know if there is anyway of amending my claim as I have been charged another 200 since MCOL and I would like to claim this back. I seem to remember something about on a thread but as I wasnt at that stage didnt take too much notice. Thanks Jayne G.
You will still have to pay further court fees if your claim is more than £1500.

You can alter your claim on MCOL by paying a fee of £35 but as you now have a court date you will need to check with your court.0 -

Hi there
Thanks for that
I will get on to that tomorrow
ill keep you updated0 -
Please can anyone help? I am taking Barclaycard to Court after they sent a series of rediculous letters and made an insulting 'gesture' of less than one-third of what they owe me.
I am completing my online claim form with MoneyClaim website and have got to the part where you explain your case in 1000 words or so. Do I need to detail all the dates and charges here, as you do on Martin's spreadsheet? Or is it more general? Can anyone who has done this advise on wording and info for this section?
All advice very gratefully received!!
Best wishes,
Sir Saver1st September 2007

Oh no! Feeling bloody awful now! I received notice from my local court with hearing date - allocation questionnaire dispensed with and nothing on there about paying a fee. Iv just read the thread you gave me and says fee to be paid - even if allocation questionnaire not required - and to be paid within 14 days. I am well over that time limit - does this mean Iv cocked up the whole thing. Wont sleep tonight now until spoken to the court tomorrow. Feel totally deflated and miserable!!!!!! Jayne GNat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0 -
Having done all my calculations and requested that all penalty charges be refunded I received the usual letter that all charges have been explained etc. I therefore decided to take the bank to court. They have replied within the 14 days and say that they will defend. I have received notification fromthe court but they specifically say that I do not need to send them a Court Allocation notice. When I filled in the court action on line I only did so in very general terms. Should I have been more specific and does this jeopardise my chances of success? Does anyone have any ideas or experience as to what to do next?
