Hi this is my first thread. I have followed martins guidance and gone through the whole proceedure to reclaim £5621 from first direct including interest and court fees. I have been re assigned to my lopca county court and have just been sent an order giving various directions, what do i do now?. What is the best way to do it.? Don't mind admitting getting a bit jittery now
As your amount includes interest and your court fees you will come under the £5000 limit. Have a read of this thread regarding your "various directions"

I keep reading about these online claims on here. What does this mean exactly?

Read Martin's article for the link to Money Claim Online and have a read of the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

Been trying to get 3,000 in bank charges from Abbey, just received a letter at last to say they are willing to give me £435.00 pounds as a goodwill gesture. But as they are also sending me debt letters for the amount of £1,000 they say they will send it to the debt team at Abbey instead? This is also mainly accumulated through bank charges!! Any suggestions where to go from here?

How long is it taking people to actually get thier charges back? Do they just put it in to your account or do they send a letter offering a settlement amount?

If the £1000 are illegal charges (the £35 type), write back and tell them you have already explained and that £xxx is owed to you in illegal charges.
Also say, in light of the fact that Abbey have applied unlawful charges to your account which are totally unacceptable to yourself and in the eyes of the law, you will consider threats as harassment which is a very serious offence.

Just put Natwest in court. Make them fully aware that the question you will ask the court is "how do Natwest arrive at the illegal charge, ie; you want a breakdown of their costs. See a previous post where you can watch a video "whistleblower" where Barclays Bank admit the cost to bounce a cheque etc is £1.50 - £2.00. Natwest will have similar costings and if they have charged you £35 to bounce a cheque that is a profit of £33 and the law is clear .... they are acting illegally. The Winner Takes it All0 -
Send Barclays Bank to this link

Show them you know what you are talking about
Hi, am just at the next position to yourself, Barclays also sent me a polite letter saying they would reply within 8 weeks, of which they did on the last day! The letter has made me an offer but this is less than half of what i am trying to reclaim. Am now replaying to bank to reject their offer.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.0 -

Having looked at all the forums, there is one thing that stands out a mile.
THE MAIN WEAKNESS OF ALL BANKS
They do not want to tell us how they arrive at a charge of say £35.00
The moment any bank discloses a complete breakdown will not only show to everybody how they are breakng the law but it will set a precedent for all future claims.
All the rubbish letters they are sending to folk such as "partial offers", "saying the charges are fair" etc etc are trying to hide their weakness.
USE THEIR WEAKNESS TO YOUR OWN ADVANTAGE.
KEEP ASKING THE QUESTION
"Please give me a breakdown of how you arrive at £35.00"
You are fully entitled to this information and if they refuse to tell you,
then request the information from the court.
