It's 40 actual days. Why don't you give them a few days, then ring them to see if they have received your letter?
Good luck!

I have followed the advice on this site in order to reclaim my charges, and i have already recieved a list of the charges they applied to my account over the last 6 years, but instead of Me threatening to take them to court, im already being taken there
so what i need to find out is....
shall i just follow the advice as though i were taking the bank to court, but use this as my defence.
I have the form of defence to send back to the court, which has a small claims section and the amount i dispute.
So shall i defend myself with the small claims option and the total amount of charges, and is this then the same as if i took the bank to court?
Help!
Are NatWest actually taking you to court or just suggesting that they may or can do? If they are just suggesting it I would put in your claim and see what happens.0 -
Thank's Helen0

I have gone through all the process's for getting charges back and have now just sent in my Allocation Questionnaire. My claim was for 1501.00 plus interest, plus obviously court fees. I had an offer of £1100 with no costs or interest, so I rejected this. Cobbetts have now replied with their AQ being returned, just in time.
Does this mean court, do you think? Or is there something I can 'request to make them a little concerned? I have faxed them a further request for sight of my contract and also a response to my question of manual intervention, which they have to date totally ignored.
Many thanks

I have got a defence to my charge reclaim from Barclays. They say my initial court summons is not specific enough and that the charges are lawful as they told me what they would be (and another 2 pages of legal blurb from their legal executive). I have received an allocation questionaire too.
I know it's cup your head in your hands time, but when I sent my initial request for refund of charges to the bank, I sent the copies of the statements with the charges highlighted back to the bank and didn't keep a copy (silly boy!!) Can anyone help?0 -
Hi
In the same boat as the above really. Have sent off the court allocation but wondering what is happening next. Starting to woory, even though I "know" i shouldn't. There doesnt seem to be too much info on what happens after filling in the questionaire. Can anyone enlighten us? Am I gonna need to go to court (even if they don't show I presume I would need to go) or do they sometimes offer to settle out of court at this stage?
Thanks in advance. And if, you know, your history...0 -

There is a sticky at the top of this forum that lists all the banks and addresses to send your letter to.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Hi tiff, I have searched high and low can't seem to find the address, I have my charges added up, and my letter ready to go to Natwest, any chance you could post the link to the address, to send my letter to I can't find it in this forum, or post the link to the sticky
Thanks Tiff
