Yes, you're quite entitled to claim the full amount, plus 8% interest if you start court proceedings ... go for it!
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

    Hi there,

I had an account with the Halifax whilst at uni, and after I finished I stopped using the account. However I forgot to cancel a couple of standing orders that went out, and as there was no money in the account I was charged the standard unpaid fees. This led to a few 'overdrawn' fees, all in all came to a couple of hundred pounds.

As I had moved address, I didn't receive any of the letters the bank sent out and knew nothing of the charges until I applied for credit last year and was declined due to a default the bank had registered on my student account!!

Anyway to the point, my question is, if I claim back the charges from my old account, will the Halifax be obliged to remove the default from my records completely?

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any responces

    Morning all,

Just gone on to my account online and found that a cheque for £10 has been credited to my account although I didn't put one in. I sent off a £10 postal order last Wednesday with my first letter requesting statements so I'm presuming they've paid the £10 into my account.....is this right??

Has this happened to anyone before?

Have just filed an MCOL online for my two Fatwest accounts, however i got the fiures the wrong way round on each of the accounts (acc no 1 should have been £500 and no 2 200) when i claimed i put the number claimed for acc 1 as acc 2 and vice versa will this have fatal repurcussions for me or will they amend accordingly at the bank.

    i know i know im a fool

    Any help would be great

you might be better ringing court up and revise your claim it will or may cost you 35 pounds for each they are helpful better to get it right than wrong as it may affect claim process
  • Please help!!

Natwest solicitors have filed a defence, they have told me i have 14 days to respond.
They say they have sent same letter i received, to the courts.

My question is.....Where do i get an allocation questionare??
Should i hear from the courts???

I received the defence on Friday, but nothing from the courts.
  • I've started a claim for approximately £950 against Abbey. After 10 days I've received a letter from them stating that they will investigate and get back to me in four weeks!

What should I do? Sit tight and wait or chase them up?

no carry on process they ll probably take longer saying there is a big influx of claims and its backlogging causing it to take longer

    keep on with process
