Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges Discussion Area

I sent the first letter to my bank last week and today they have replied.
They are sending my STATEMENTS for 6 years, NOT the Charges info that I requested. They have returned my £10 cheque saying the info will be provided free of charge.
I will have to wade through all these statements.
They have provided me with an ext no on their phone line should I wish to discuss this.
What should I do please?
I only got my statements and I went through them and highlighted them all myself. Its not that hard to do. I havent heard of anyone just getting the charges they have paid for the last 6 years. Anyway u saved a tenner! They charged me a fiver for my statements!0 -

The next stage is to go on that moneyclaim website and start with the court proceedings isnt it? But I noticed on here the it says
"Once the case is started there’s a race on between you and the bank; can they get in a defence or at least acknowledge they’ve had the paperwork within 14 days? If not you can ask for a judgment against the bank for the full amount of the claim without any hearing (see step by step guide below)."
So if we dont have a signature to say they got our second letter Im assuming we cant go to court as it says above the bank have to acknowledge theyve had the paperwork within 14 days.
Am I reading this right?????0 -

Yes other wise I guess they will say that they have never received any form of letter and the court will throw it out.
Perhaps we should also send all copies of letters to the local branch aswell then they won't be able to say they haven't received anythingMy Mission today is to have an opinion on everything.
If you don't like it well you will just have to lump it!0 -

A friend of mine works for our local Yorkshire Bank and he was the one who told me about all this as they are paying out loads! He even said they have had the bailiffs in aswell but ended up paying the charges back before they took anything. He says its really easy, suppose u just have to be patient unlike me!!!!! Good Luck xx0 -

When I applied for judgment by default on the 10th April, no acknowlegment had been received by the Court and my request was accepted. An acknowledgment from Nationwide appeared later in the day.
Today I have noticed a message "rejected" claim cannot continue further online".What does this mean .Have I lost the £120. Can I continue you to claim for unlawful charges from Nationwide.
Hi Exactly the same happened to me yesterday with nationwide my judgment was rejected, then I checked my account and all the money had been payed in, so check your account and hopfully you have got your money or its on the way.

So u think we should send the letter again??? God damn! What a waste of 2 weeks!!! I spoke to royalmail this morning and they said I have to wait 14 working days i think and with all the bank holidays takes it to 18th April I think before they can confirm if the letter has been delivered or not. Think im just gonna send another letter again but maybe this time special delivery, think thats better than just recorded and its next day too.0 -

yes I think I am going to send another letter too but if you go and hand a copy into the branch and get a receipt for it, it is as good as recorded delivery they just pass it onto the relevant section in internal mailMy Mission today is to have an opinion on everything.
