I sent a letter to the Halifax on the 30/3 recorded delivery but I have check on the royalmail site and it does not have information on it being delivered.
do you think I should sent a copy of the letter requesting a refund of charges or just play dumb and send the letter saying I will take them to court if they don't.

Just Abbey, MBNA, HFC and Barclaycard to go!!!
as im trying to sort out studio account all advise would be gratefully received0 -
Hi ,
Some help required regarding SAR and 40 days etc. etc.
I have received a list of charges (within 40 days) from the bank BUT they include a cover letter explaining that statements before September 2001 are archived and therefore, if I want them (And I do!) I must return the letter and wait up to a further 40 days for those statements.
Question is this: Do I have any reasonable comeback in terms of Lloyds not having fulfilled my request although happily taking another 10 pounds ?
And, what should I write back to them ? (where have all the templates gone ?!)
Thanks in advance,

I sent my first letter to Lloyds TSB three weeks ago and have not had a reply to date. Is it best to re-send by recorded delivery or use another tactic altogether?0

I've had a similar letter from Capital One. Note how the cheeky !!!!!!s don't include interest! I'm writing a new letter as I write this, giving them the chance to settle for £5 a charge (although I want interest on top) to avoid me going to court.0

£5 is nearer actual cost I bet. Good plan if you ask me.Stick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.
Feel free to thank me if I was a help

Hi dont know I am on the right post. I have gone through all the procedures of claiming online over £2000 on moneyclaim online, have waited the 28 days before putting in a judgment request which I did yesterday, anyway today I checked online and my Judgement request has been rejected and it says I cant continue with this claim online.
Help what does this mean and what do I do know?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I have Lloyds by the balls!! :rotfl:
In their letter they say:Like any business, we do make a charge for some of our extra services. When customers don't have enough in their accounts to cover a payment, this always means extra work - and it has to happen very quickly. We have to agree to make the payment by setting up or increasing an overdraft, or tell customers we can't agree it. We feel it's fair to charge for this service.
Well I dug out some of my original statements, and 'letters for going overdrawn' and I think I can prove that they did not increase my overdraft when I went over it. So therefore never provided the service they say they're charging me for!
On another note, the bulk of my statements I have printed off are from my online banking. On these statements it says:The personal data on this statement was correct at the time of printing. This statement is not and official Bank copy
What does that mean?? It's off their 'official' online banking service! Surely I can use these in court if necessary??0 -
