Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges Discussion Area

Hello all,
I am now well down the line with HSBC, I am in the court process, and they have decided to defend.
I have received a letter from their solicitors (DG Solicitors) asking for a breakdown of the charges. I have done this and have sent the courts the allocation questionanaire. This was done on the 5th of March.
Since then I have heard nothing, no court date or further correspondence from HSBC or their solicitors.
Has anybody who is in the court process experienced these delays? Or experienced a quick turnaround?
Starting to get a little concerned now.

I am in the process of re-claiming bank charges with the Halifax and initual letter sent, what if they do not reply as I have sent the cheques for the amount of £10????
do not have a clue of amount owed
Hi there, if they don't send your statements withing the 40 days, give them a ring or send a reminder letter as they are breaching your rights.0 -
Hi all,
Sent for my statement on the 14th March, this morning I've received statement from March 2001 to Sep 2002. Is this normal as anyone else received them like this in batches, and do you think more will be coming or do I need to ring them.
Also been looking through them and when it says Unarr Borrowing Fee, underneath there is sometimes a small amount which says interest, do I add this on.
I have posted this on the Nat West Section as well.

Bank Barclays
No Amount Yet
Wrote to Barclays under Data Protection Act 1998 asking for the charges for the last 6 years and they have come back without providing the list of charges but offering to pay me £1840 out of goodwill. What an insult. I am about to send a reply asking for the full reply to my original request.0 -

It depends on what you signed when you accepted the previous settlement. Check that you didnt agree to not pursue further charges. If not go ahead and reclaim.0 -

if I incur any more charges they may withdraw my banking facilities. Its a good job I took the advice of opening the parachute account:p . My next project is to reclaim all my wifes unfair charges:p . Wish me luck;)
Congratulations on your good fortune and good luck with the wifes claim0 -
Hi
I'm in the process of trying to claim back my bank charges from The Royal Bank of Scotland, I've had my statements from them and to date the cheque has not been cashed (bonus!). I've already sent my letter requesting the charges back however, reading these boards has left me a little confused.
I've seen it mentioned that you can claim 6 years England & Wales 5 years Scotland. Now, is this according to where your branch is or where you are living? I'm in Wales and my branch is in Scotland.
Does anyone know??
Thanks in advance0 -

Where you live as far as I know coz you would claim through your local court so it would be under english/welsh jurisdiction.
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me!0
