Spoke to MCOL this morning asking why there was now no need to complete the AQ. District Judges are deciding that they are 'a waste of time', the Defendants don't turn up and they (Judges) are becoming cheesed off with
the Banks. Of course the DJ can still ask for an AQ to be completed when the
case is transferred to a CC nearer your home address.

Maybe this is all good news for us claimants.

    Does look good yes :)

continuing saga of Barclays Additions Account ,as seen on "whistleblower", my daughter was told by Barclays that they were upgrading her account to an Additions Account, but what they didnt tell her was that they would be charging her £10 a month for the priviledge, after watching "whistleblower" she checked her statements, and realised the account fee of £10 was for this Additions Account ,something she didnt want, but Barclays thought she should have. she layed into Barclays and at first they said they would cancel the account for her ,after further ranting they offererd to pay her back six months charges, she politely told them in not so many words that she wanted all her money back (circa £250 ),Barclays said that they would be intouch within 5 working days.Letter came Sat morning, they are sorry about her contacting them about level of service, looking into concerns, and will let her have answer asap, but no later than 23rd april . so again keep you posted of outcome, with Twinklys info(PAGE 209 ) shes ready for them. Tsk, it wouldnt take them two minutes to refund the money but I suspect hers isnt the only case of this nature and they are pretty busy wading through complaints about it. Wish her luck from me :)

Funnily enough I've just been reading about that whistleblower/bank charges. It may be of interest/support.

I found it through the viking radio website (typed in bank charges in search) and it gave links to the consumer action group website and money saving expert website ..
If you go to www.consumeractiongroup.com and there is info about bank charges and the conclusions from the whistleblower programme on that page.

But if you also scroll right to the bottom and click on link:

'Oft Report 29-3-07' ...it refers to the OFT's recent announcement.

then lastly click on the obvious link:

    'View OFT Press Release here'

it will take you to the newsroom and some interesting info on that recent report.

I've tried providing a link on the pink and blue words to the relevant pages! (it kept changing colour and there is more than enough links -not sure how that happened!)
But anyhow I hope this helps.
:www:If you've got time, please sign the government petition online that 'ME is Real' :)
