well looks like its just the lush pack left here tonight.

I have 2 business accounts and between them i have racked up about £600 worth of charges. Now i wasnt thinking of reclaiming as i was thinking maybe sometimes i may need them for overdraft etc as a business, sometimes we do need it (£75 arrangement fee Ching Ching) and didnt want to P them off. Then i got last months statements and on 1 account theres £56 worth of charges, and i though oh to hell with it, this time they are taking the mick & the money
SO i am starting to list all the charges and they can get them paid back , I remember back in Jan this year seeing my business manager and to be honest i told him i was going to claim back my personal bank charges, he stated 'Oh well it doesnt concern me , cos you cant do that with business accounts' .
OHHHH how wrong he was :D

My total to claim back is now going over £3750, and that will help a lot, i have to work a lot of hours for that

    to all

    What is it you do?

Twinkly, would you like to join us for a glass of wine?

I'm claiming over £4K from natwest, wondering & twiddling my thumbs wether to take on Abbey from my mums (mum & me joint so I could do her bank stuff) closed account. I know I should but a bit too raw at the moment. Anyway, if I get my natwest claim the drinks are on me

*eyes her cup of hot chocolate*

I'd love to join you but I'm saving myself for Easter weekend when the small people are away on holiday and I can assume a persona other than that of mum :) Thanks for the invitation though, I might just throw a shot of Baileys in this actually...

PAW169 you have plenty of time to reclaim your mums account so no harm getting yours sorted first. :)

I run a small soft furnishing & upholstery shop. We make made to measure curtains & blinds Etc , I also make furniture & re upholster furniture, that how i got into the business, helping my Dad, but after a couple years i wondered what i was going to do, as i could see a lot of the furniture was getting cheaper and would not be worth recovering. Didnt see the bit about it becoming a throw away society. So now its 95% curtains and have expanded into home accessories and more recently selling upholstery sundries (castors , webbings Foams etc ) on ebay and to be honest, what started out as ' well if i take £100 a week it'll help pay the bills to i can make half a living on here'

i am claiming for my personal acc £118, my boys personal acc £4343, and our joint acc £575, all 3 are with Natwest.

i have sent 1st letter saying 'please pay these charges back, reply within 14days', then i have sent 2nd letter saying 'pay these charges back or else i am taking you to court, reply within 14days'.

now i am at the stage of filling out the online Moneyclaim application of taking Natwest to the small claims courts.

question1: i have now discovered that some of the 'charges' on my boyfs personal account were monthly fees for the privilage of having an acc with benefits, and so i dont think i can claim for these charges, BUT i have already totalled all the charges and sent 2 letters, waiting 14 days after each letter, and am now at the applying online to court stage. i havent applied to Moneyclaim yet.
    What do i do?
Do i get my boyf to phone bank and get the dates and amounts of monthly fees for the account he had, then deduct these charges from the total of £4343, then do i need to resend the 2 letters and wait another 14 days each!!!?? or can i just deduct it from the £4343 total and go ahead with the court claim with a lower amount to claim?

question2: Can i fill out 1 Moneyclaim court application for the total of our 3 acc (as long as the total is below £5000)
or do i need to fill out 3 separate Moneyclaim applications?

    thanks.

With regard to deducting the service fees from the claim you can do that at the court stage so no worries there, go ahead to this stage. They will get the amended claim when they are notified by the court of the 'particulars of claim'.

I dont know about question 2 though sorry, someone else may later on tonight if anyones around or tomorrow. Good luck :)

    Hey!!
Im claiming £1400 from Lloyds TSB, I received half of it about 2 weeks ago but wrote to them saying thanks, but no thanks, please give me the rest and gave them 7 days to respond. They replied, letter dated 25th March, saying they expect their enquiries to be completed within the next 28 days.
Im not sure whether Im meant to wait for them, or stick to my original 7 days which are up Monday!?
    Thanks

Same here, when I started my claim, we were thinking...right....what do we NEED....then it was....what do we WANT....then it was.....I'm paying this bill & that bill.....now I've just sent my "threatening court ect ect" letter & I'm nervously excited  :j & you are right, it DOES get addictive. Well I'm addicted, hubby asleep on the sofa, bored with it all but I'm wide awake, sipping my wine raring to go haha.
  • QUOTE=COPPERHEADJACK;4753566]Ok I have sent my letter away asking for my charges of £2445.50 to be reunded and would like a response with in 14 days. They should receive it on Monday. What is my next step? Should they refund me within the 14 days. I have used the template letter.
Does anyone know if I can claim charges for a business account

Bring it on Halifax I'm willing and waiting!!!!!!!!!

request for refund sent to halifax for £2445.50 30/3/07
request for charges sent to halifax CC 30/3/07
request for charges sent to natwest 30/03/07
request for charges sent to barclaycard 30/3/07[/QUOTE]

Reply: I have sent of today my requests for repayments of charges on both personal and business acounts. Don't see any reason not too as the charges are exorbitant on both accounts!! Good luck.
