Hi, can anyone assist? I have sent both the 14 and 7 day letters Nat West asking for my charges to be refunded and have heard nothing. However, I didn't send them by registered post and I'm now wondering if I should resend them (as I have no idea whether they actually got there) making sure that they go registered this time (don't really want to give them another 21 days but don't want them to say 'What letters'!).
Many thanks0 -
Hello,
I have writtem to lloyds asking for them to give me a breakdown of my charges over the past 6 years.
They keep delaying my query by writing to me they are dealing with my enquiry but it is taking time, first letter stated 21 days, 2nd letter stated 4 weeks,
Help
Many thanks0 -
They have 40 days to produce the information/statements, if they don't you need to complain...

Hi there,
I am currently trying to reclaim bank charges from Abbey. I'm now at the MCOL stage as they have basically said no. However, I am a bit worried about court action as I've heard that Abbey will go through with taking you to court.
Has anyone had any experience with Abbey?

Hi
My first post ever (not just on this site) so hope I'm doing this right.
I've just registered an online claim against Halifax using the Northern Ireland Court Service site. I used the Halifax registered office address in Yorkshire for this claim. Now I've received an online query from NICS saying this claim will take longer to serve because England/Wales is involved and if successful could only be enforced through England/Wales courts. Should I carry on - i.e. serve the claim on the Halifax registered office - or can I use the address of my Halifax branch in Belfast?
Hope someone can help. Thanks

You can always add this:
Social Security Administration Act 1992
Miscellaneous
Certain benefit to be inalienable **
187- Subject to the provisions of this Act, every assignment of, or charge on-
(a)benefit as defined in section 122 of the Contributions and Benefits Act;
(b)any income-related benefit; or
(c)child benefit,
and every agreement to assign or charge such benefit shall be void; and, on the bankrupcy of the beneficiary, such benefit shall not pass to any trustee or other person acting on behalf of his creditors
Taken from a template here:
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...-benefits.html
The template must be amended to suit the name of your benefit and apparently must be sent in each time there is a payment due in to stop them taking anything from it, but that it worth the hassle to stop them.
They are breaking the law taking social security benefits. Good luck0 -
I am the first to admit that I am a bit on the thick side, but is it good news or bad news the decision OFT made for all of us who are still at the first hurdle and are waiting for their six years of statements.

The way I took it when I seen it on the news is that the "big guns" are on our side, not the banks :j hope I'm right!0 -
