Hi all, just seen that Lloyds TSB has acknowledged my court claim and have a further 15 days to respond. I'm seeking to reclaim @ £1,300 but have had no letter or offer.... are they just wasting time or do you think they'll enter a defence?

Hi MAF66 I'm kinda at the same stage as you but Llyods haven't put an acknowledgement or defrence in for my case yet!!!, although i did receive a letter on sat offering £750 which i'm in process of sending a letter back not accepting, they have until 2nd April to respond to court that'll be the 14days from when they were served. I spoke to courts this morning quering time scales and they said once they put in an acknowledgement online they then have 28days to put in their defence or they could just decide to settle. Hope thats of some help to you and makes sense??? Suzy:o

  • Hi All

Just reading through the details and posts.

Over the years both Husband and I self employed. Needless to say our Bank accounts and money management hasleft a lot to be desired. Sometimes with £1000's in sometimes with nothing.

HSBC Transferred money from one account to another incurring charges at times in Unpaid DD's and cheques. My account with Lloyds TSB alaso had similar probs.

Although some of the charges are our fault can we still claim for the bounced DD AND CHEQUES. Not really sure.

    Thanks Jane

If you didnt agree to this account 'upgrade' then yes, it was mis-sold. I suspect barclays are inundated with claims regarding this. Good luck :)

Yes you can claim for the charges for unpaid direct debit and bounced cheques. Its not your money management that is under scrutiny but the amount the bank charges you so go for it, you can reclaim 6 years worth, and good luck :)

HSBC Solicitors taking the mick i reckon !!!!

Well my claim is taking a long time. Now in the courts hands !! I got a letter from HSBC's solicitors asking for a full breakdown of charges. I sent it to them last week and not heard anything since.

    They are obviously stalling now.

What do you think i should do ??? Starting to get a abit worried now !
