After sending the second letter detailing the charges, received letter from NatWest Customer Lending Centre saying Customer Relations Unit will contact within 10 days. Not heard anything yet - has anyone else had this reply? What do they say?0

Stick to your timescales and not theirs. If you have stated 14 days, give them 14 days. if you are on second letter (LBA) giving them 7 days, give them 7 days.:rotfl:"Penny Pinching Winch"

I am in the process of claiming from a closed account ( I have requested statements). The the bank has passed a debt of £300 to a debt collection agency. I think any reclaimed charges would cover most if not all of this sum.
Is there any way of stalling the debt collectors until the matter is settled?

Yorkshire Building Society: claimed £1,070, received £1,134.20

I find now that the bank is TOTALLY unhelpful when I have a problem and only this week have been charged £200 for going £50 overdrawn. I was made redundant in November (3rd) and rang Barclays about the protection I get in case of redundancy which they say I am entitled to (paying £13+ a month for the priviledge mind) Despite several phone calls, I find today that their excuse is they have been sending to an address I was living in 3 houses ago!!!!!! They say that they are sorry and are now sending forms out and backdating anything they owe. But that will not cover any charges since despite some of them making my life more difficult.
To cut a long story short: they are quick to charge and refuse point blank to help me out or refund any yet are conveniently slack and haphazard when it comes to owing me money!!! CAN I PUT IN ANOTHER CLAIM FOR CHARGES INCURRED FROM THE LAST CLAIM? I also have another account with Barclays. Can this be claimed from too. Thanks!
Yes you can claim for charges since your last claim. When you accepted their offer, did you have to sign a disclaimer? if so what did it say?
You will find that banks etc are now getting you to sign a disclaimer to say that you will have no other claim on them once you have accepted the offer.
However, on the CAG site, you can claim for charges which where not included in the original claim.:rotfl:"Penny Pinching Winch"

redruby wrote:Hi,
My court papers were served to first direct on 19th February, I have calculated that they have got untill the 19th March to reply, is this correct ? and what happens if I have heard nothing from them by then, what do I do then ?, and do I take action on the 19th March or wait untill the 20th ?
Thanks
They have 14 days to acknowledge claim, if they dont, you can hit the judgement button on the MCOL website. If they do acknowledge they have 28 days from service of the claim (service of the claim is deemed 5 days from when you filed claim) to put a defence in. If they dont, you can again hit Judgement button on the MCOL website. If they do put a defence in then you have to wait for judges instructions, which would usually mean and AQ form being sent. You fill this in, send off and wait for a court date.
Good luck:rotfl:"Penny Pinching Winch"
