Morning all :hello:

I went to bed at around 5pm for a lie down and slept for 2 hrs, :o

tried going back up and lying down but can't sleep, having terrible trouble with reflux, especially when lying down, due to go into hosp for some investigations in a couple of weeks.

Easter egg hunt went really well, :j kids are 13 and 15 but still look forward to it, questions need to be more difficult every year and this year took me hrs to do,

I'm off searching around church yards later today, researching my family tree, due to be tomorrow so will probably make up a flask to take with me :D

I think I'll put a load in the washer, fill the DW and have a sweep through (having no carpets is great but floors seem to get dusty really quickly icon8.gif) to see if I can tire myself out enough to have a couple more hours sleep.

have a lovely day everyone

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 08/04/2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Glad, CCStar, Penny-Pincher and all to follow,

Sorry you're having trouble sleeping Glad, I hope you can get back to bed soon.

I haven't had a chance to read yesterday's thread yet, so I hope I haven't missed anything important.

Years ago, I made and decorated a giant papier mache egg and it has become a family tradition that it gets filled with oodles and oodles of chocolate eggs at Easter…..we leave a glass of milk and a carrot for the Easter Bunny when we put the egg out on Easter Saturday night and he always remembers to fill it. :D

So we had an early start yesterday with an over excited six year old wanting to know if he was allowed to go into the living room, where the Easter Bunny leaves the eggs. I rolled over in my sleep and told him he could...he then came back and asked if he was allowed to eat any…I rolled over again and told him he could…he came back again with a kinder egg asking me to help him build the bleeping thing. At this point I gave up on a lie in.

I had family here for lunch/dinner yesterday. It was lovely, but Haribo you and yours were missed by us all.

As for today…dd and her bf are planning to take off for the day and the two boys want to be entertained….so I'm going to spend some time with them and Mr Pink. I'm not sure what we'll do but hopefully we'll relax and have some fun.

Have a lovely Easter Monday everyone.

Goodness, what a lot of early starts.

I have tried and failed to sleep so have given up for the moment. Bm is on and I've washed my kitchen floor.

I've been faithfully promised a lie in today so hopefully he'll keep to his word.

Must catch up on some ironing later but otherwise very little OS.

TAking the girls to the cinema in the afternoon and that's about it.

    Take care all

    Hello everyone

I've had a good sleep, a couple of hours longer than my usual, so am feeling good this morning.

It's a bank holiday (whoopee!) but for us retail workers it's just another working day (boo!) so I have to don my uniform and face the crowds. Why oh why do people choose to go shopping when they have a day off??? There are so many other things to do and anyway, the shops here in Newry are open until 9.00pm Wed, Thurs and Fri so why can't they go then?? Oh I give up - it's just what people do I suppose!

I've got no news, so I'll toddle off now. Have a great Monday everyone.

Good Morning Glad, Ccstar, Penny Pincher, Pink Winged, Haribo Junkie & Amiee
    and all that follow

Another restless night, (((hugs))) to you also glad. My back's been playing up for the last hour, so got up to take some pain killers & prepped the veg for Roast Pork dinner today! As yesterday, we just made do with Sandwiches, salad & fruit.

amiee hope your FIL is ok. I only hear updates from my ex, (when he can be bothered to speak). I know I should phone more. But when I remember to ring - its too late! *note to myself - make more of an effort ro ring regular*

My living room looks so much lighter & brighter, now I have my cream summer curtains up. Especially now the windows have been cleaned inside & out. My winter dark blue velour curtains, have now seen better days. They have been passed on to me from my dad, (about 15-17 yrs old). The last 2 washes have seen some of the velour coming away, and leaving dark patches. This yr they are worse. So need to re-home them. Do you think the RSPCA will accept them for animal bedding? OH's mum has just had a complete make over in her house, and has offered me her thick blue lined curtains. They are huge. So will need altering to make another pair, as I have 2 windows!

    Enjoy your picnic PP

Got a lady popping round about lunch time to fetch an item I freecycled yesterday. She sounds nice on the phone, hope she doesn't turn out to be another scary mary like before.

    To do today:
Put empty boxes & other items in the loft
Hoover through house, incl stairs & landing
Sweep & mop hall & kitchen
Tidy out my craft corner of the room.
General clean, where we normally miss!

Have a great EASTER MONDAY everyone
    Take care
    Love Emma xxx

PS - Morning Snowy! You crept in whilst I was still typing! I can sympathise ref the shops over bank holiday! I avoid them all like the plague! Dont work too hard today!

    Morning,
Hope everyone is okay and enjoying their long weekend (if you are lucky enough to have a long weekend!)

Not exactly sure what we are doing today other than I bet it is gardening!!!!
It has been lovely spending time outside with the children and my hubby...... a lovely weekend :D

With regards to shopping, it was really 'strange' not seeing the shops open as we drove home from the bootsale, having worked in retail years ago nice to see one day that they don't open :D

Lunch is taken care of.... two lots done yesterday :D

Have a lovely day everyone :D

    Good morning everyone,

an early post from me! I'm up to take my OH into work, and as it's the holidays there isn't the usual traffic on the roads so there isn't the usual panic to leave the house :rotfl:

I'm off work today (lucky me!) so once I get home, I'll put the WM on again, and after a cuppa will get on with a bit more housework (or just stay here - we'll see what happens) :p Caught up on a lot yesterday so was rather pleased with myself. :A Hopefully it'll be nice weather - it's brightening up as we speak, so that could be good!

Have a nice day everyone, *hugs* to all, take or leave as you please :D

    Morning all.
Looks as though it will be another lovely day here, yesterday was great spent 5 hours at local park with some friends of ours, took the windbreaks up and a picnic, it was fantastic, kids had a great day playing footy and on the park, and i had one to many G+Ts!! Then we went back to their house for a few hours too.
They are coming up here today, so need to find something to feed them all with, im thinking huge piles of homemade chips and hot dogs.
Still have loads of washing to do, but dh said i can use the washing line today as concrete will have set. Have been using the airer but i cant get as much dry.
Thanks to crazychik for my wake up!!! LOL
    Have a wonderful day all
