Morning all
Looks a bit dull this morning, but yesterday started like this and then turned out to be a lovely afternoon.
Went off early yesterday to a carboot and bought loads of books (naughty), and a kenwood Chefette still in its box with instructions, for the grand total of £4.50.
Not sure what we are doing today, but it might be another carboot and then an afternoon in the garden.
Whatever you are all doing, hope you have a good Easter Monday xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
:hello: Goooood Morning fellow OS’ers
Glad – now your kids are that age … you could make the questions a bit more challenging by using … GCSE questions :rotfl:
Hope you get to the bottom of your reflux problems, not nice to have that L but do enjoy your geneology day
PP – enjoy your noon day picnic.
Snowy – people resort to shopping often because they lack the imagination to spend their time any other wayHopefully you’ll be paid overtime for their hobbyless spendy ways!
Need to do a quick whip round this morning and get the sports kits in the wash and on the line. Going to make a cheese and rosemary loaf in the BM today and I’ve got a lovely bunch of rhubarb to cook up. Some people get flowers, some people get wine, some get cuddly toys … I got handed a bunch of freshly picked rhubarb from the garden before I left my friends house :rotfl: Unless I come up with something more imaginative, it will most likely be a rhubarb and ginger crumble.
Enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday whichever way you have chosen to spend it:wave:

Morning All:hello:
Hope everyone had a fab Easter sunday? Hubby had a private job so I took Spud to chruch for the lovely Easter service then we had lunch (HM pate & HM rolls;)) in the garden on our freecycle patio set:D then I sat in the garden & knitted & read during Spuds nap....and got thoroughly sunburnt for my foolishness:o. Hubby came back from his private job with 2 free lavender plants & a sage bush into the bargian so we planted them up last night...am thinking lavender smelly pouch things for mothers day next year!:D:eek: (or a batch of sage & onion stuffing?....but no!)
Today we are off for a picnic at Box Hill with our friends, so the BM is already on to make dough for more rolls which we will have with the choice of (reduced price) roast beef or brie & bacon, along with a mixed salad, crisps & HM dip, fruit salad & all followed by a HM simnal (sp?) cake;) All served on our very retro perfect condition china picnic set which we salvaged from my grandparents bin after they cleared out their loft!
It's actually got to the satage in our house where 2nd hand items outnumber the "new" stuff, and I'm very proud of this:D
Hope everyone has a fab bank holiday:wave:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all having a good weekend. The kids had a super day yesterday and all have a bit of colour, The eldest even went for a swim - too cold for anyone else to paddle though despite the sunshine. Our Nephew lives is a beautiful little village on the edge of the sea and it was sooooo quiet, it really has reinforced our desires to move there eventually. OH retires in 9 years and it would be so good if we could eventually move over there before then. He has a job with his nephew if we ever get over there as he is a fisherman and could do with another pair of hands, ideal for OH.
The house is a tip. I was too tired to clean up last night, we didn't eat either. We were all asleep at 10pm, both of us oldies on the settees downstairs. I must give myself a kick up the proverbial today and snap out of the way I'm feeling and at least clean out the house. There is a humongous pile of ironing to do as well.to anyone in need today.
I hope you and yours didn't have too much chocolate!!!!

morning all OSers
Hope every one is well & hugs to all that need them
Im drowning in mess here, and we have guests on the sofa so I cant really bang about. So IM just milling around on here for a bit and might pop out into the garden and start thinking about dealing with the state of these beds. My garden is a complete heap, its a rented, so its basically a huge swathe of tarp with piles of gravel on it. Weve rolled back some of the plastic adn theres about 2 million stones in it, so Im going to have to sort through by hand :wall: and remove them .I need to plant out my summer garlic and getmy climbing beans on the go. I wouldnt mind a quick run to B&Q to get some of thier turf today too but it really is a lot of work. I ike the part of gardening which is seedlings and watering , the hard labor bit _pale_ not really my scene!! on th eplus side my seedlings are looking great, my mangetout are so exciting the way they unfold, every day Im like oooh look how much money we will save off these!! :money: i cant believe how easy they seem to be growing!
in a sec Ill load the Bm, a seeded granary white, then when the guest get upbacon beans & eggs on toast, then dog walking, then the guest will go.
otherwise im back to job hunting again, my job isnt really working out the way I wanted it to, ie not enough money, so we shall see how it pans out., Ive an interview tomorrow, ( lunchtime) so ill have to get OH to iron me something for that.
hugs to all that need thme and enjoy the lovely weather we seem to have again, weather report from Epping forest fringes ( estate agency speak) is "glorious"
Love
Lynz

Morning all!
I hope that you all had a lovely day yesterday-we didn't have any eggs, and not much of an Easter, it was clean, clean clean!!
Not got a lie in today either as I have more cleaning to do-we have family coming down and I need to give the place a once over, just incase they decide that they want to come to our home, even though we are meeting in a town about 10 miles away... you never know with my lot!! If they do visit and I have everything sparkling, they will still find something to moan about *sigh*
Have the kettle on for my first break, and the hot water on for a bath when I'm finished, OH is on bed and am not sure what time he finished playing on his Xbox last night, he did a lot of 'handyman' type tasks for me yesterday so I can't moan too much! We both have the day off tomorrow so I think it'll be a lazy one, am trying to do an online shop but it is stressing me out, I want to try it so that I don't spend so much on rubbish/things we don't need, and I can pop back to the cupboard to check what we need when I'm at home.
Have lots of hugs to go around, so if you need/want one, just let me know.
Have a good day! x

Morning All,
Well had a lovely day yesterday. Lunch was excellent. My tomato and roasted red pepper soup turned into gazpacho, as once I had tasted I felt it didn't have enough of a red pepper flavour to it. It was delicious and as the weather was beautiful seemed very suitable. Brother did gorgeous beef with ginger and mum did a steamed syrup sponge. Kids ate chocolate until it came out of their ears.
We were home early and kids had a shower and an early night, DH was exhausted as he was up all night Saturday, on duty, so we were in bed by 8.45!!! DD woke me at 7.10 this morning so am pottering about tidying up.
Am really hoping our friends will come today but just don't know so need to make sure the house is spotless. Also don't know what to cook as if they come we will go out to eat. Think I'll make some lentil and bacon soup for dinner just in case as then I can have it for lunches the rest of the week if it doesn't get eaten.
Right need to get DD's jim jams off her and into the WM to put on, then sweep and wash floors, dust and then clean bathroom. Oh and make the beds!!
'Nother cup of tea first though.
Have a lovely day all!!
