    Good Afternoon All

Ive still not made it back to bed. Despite being up at 5.10am. Dosed up on pain killers - back still playing up. If I sit still, it hurts more, if I keep moving, it still hurts - cant win!

Dinner all done now, just waiting for the HM rhubarb crumble to finish off in the oven for pudding. DW been on twice so has the WM.
Hoovering all done, bathroom cleaned, and my craft corner all sorted out & things put away. Plus Ive made 22 cards. Using up some left over stock!

Lady came for freecycle item, she was nice & pleasant. I didnt mind greeting her at the door (unlike the last lot - I had to send OH).

Just to clarify from dlb's post this morning. I sent her a message via MSN, ref update news about our neighbour from hell "the witch", that's what gave dlb her morning wake up call! I didnt want you lot to think Im a noisy git! :rotfl:

    Right, catch you later again
    Bye for now
    Love Emma xxx

Just popped in to say hello all!

I've let the family down badly today.. Went to a charity ball last night, had a fab time but suffering the world's worst hangover now. I'd bullied the kids into keeping the day free to go for a family picnic and now I'm too ill to go. they will NEVER let me forget this...

going to go out for a curry tonight though so that's mollified them.

Well - five minutes peace at last! Visitors have gone out for the day and they're still not back and DH is fixing the jocky wheel on his trailer which came apart last week- well, he is supposed to be doing that but I've just noticed that one of the neighbours is working on his car so they'll chat for three hours and get nothing else done! And they say we talk a lot! Managed a quick hoover through and a quick clean of the bathroom while the house is empty. Visitors go tomorrow and, I know it sounds mean, but I think I've had enough especially as we thought it was only going to be Friday and Saturday initially! Menu-plan right out of the window. Have just had to pop out and get more milk, bread, coffee and mince for the spag.bol tonight. Thought I'd do that for simplicity. I'm hoping to watch Jackie Magazine - A Girl's Best Friend - on BBC2 at 9.00 tonight - it was my favourite mag when I was a teenager many summers ago! I'll end up recording it probably and watch it self-indulgently while eating an Easter egg all on my own! Weather has been really good today but a bit cloudy now. Washing dries so quickly this weather - it's going to be a real shock when it rains.

Tomorrow I'll be having a big clear-up and tackling the huge pile of ironing that has built up while the house has been so full and busy. Hope the weather stays good because I'll have loads of sheets and towels to dry as well!

Crazychik - I'm very impressed that you have made 22 cards in one session! I've only just started making my own cards but they do go down well, don't they? I'm trying to clear a space in my spare room so that I don't have to keep putting everything away - it'll be so much easier to be able to leave something half-done and go back to it later. I've also got to organise all my bits and pieces - at the moment they're all in a chest-of-drawers but every time I want something, it's always at the bottom of a drawer and nothing ever goes back tidily. Must invest in some boxes, I think! Hope your bad back improves.

Well, I think I'll get the washing in now and add to the ironing pile. Visitors should be back soon so I'll have to start dinner - all I really want to do is flop around lazily but that will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon! Hope everyone else is having a good day.

    Hi all,

I got a choccie egg! I got a choccie egg!, from a totally unexpected source. Eeh, bah, gum, I never cease to be amazed.

Hope you have all helped the kiddies to eat their choccie eggs in the name of ... too many will make them sick, just helping out lol. ;);)

Well, went to work again this morning. Popped home for lunch and on my way out back to work now. Wish I had a more interesting life so that I could post something that might be interesting to read. :rotfl:

Weather not too bright here today, in fact quite the opposite. Shame!

    Catch you later.

mioliere, I allready had the embellishments to hand, it was the case of making my own card toppers then mounting them on card. Do the inserts, and then match with envelopes and celo bag them up. (i work like a conveyor belt). I have in my living room, a tall boy, a writing bureau & a stack of 8 plastic drawers for my craft items. I try to be organised, but I must admit - Im not the most tidiest person. (how I wish I had a spare room) I have stages where I try and go through all my stuff. Sell or pass on stuff I dont/wouldn't use. Otherwise, my stock would keep mounting up and not get used. Ive been crafting for just over 3yrs now. I dont make mega money but enough to please people and to replace the stock I use!
You cant beat a hand made card though!

    Hello all,

Mad day yesterday- had a phone call from my Mum at lunchtime asking if I was coming down for lunch, I said I hadn't planned to but she convinced me to. So, mad dash round the house, had a shower, drove to Taunton (where OH was this weekend). Picked him up, we had a chat and it seems that positive things have come out of it. So with any luck, we are back together and things will be sorted from now on. I hope so anyway.

Then ended up having to go to A + E as I have a kidney infection - I would have waited to see the doctor on Tuesday but Mum convinced me I would be in agony by then, so it was just easier to go to hospital

Now I'm back, OH is coming back by train later (he had already booked his ticket and had a plan for the afternoon), now I'm currently tidying up the flat and awaiting his return.

Hope you all had a good Easter. Back to work tomorrow :)

Evening everyone, I managed to get locked out of MSE yesterday and was having kittens, luckily I managed to get back in today.

It looks like everything has now gone, hopefully the kids and I can get on with our lives now.

I went to a boot sale today to try and fill in a few gaps and did really well, I also took my eldest DD and we had a great time hunting down baby things too. I got some beautiful things for my kitchen for £4, ceramic bread crock and all matching set including teapot etc. Replaced most of the Stephen King books he took and also replaced the stereo he took too. I now have a nice Philips one with CD/radio/twin cassette/graphic equaliser and turntable with remote for £14! Very chuffed! All in all, I spent £60 there today and we came home with so much stuff I could barely fit it all in the car!
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    Evenin' all.

Been a busy day today again, getting ready to go to my brother's place in the New Forest tomorrow for a couple of days. Was it Smokeybabe who lives close by there? I'll wave as I go along, just in case I see you. Gosh, I hope I don't get caught in traffic, too - my poor little car wouldn't like that at all.

So, today, we popped along to Morrisons so that we could use the cash machine, then put some money on the gas card, then use their petrol station to fill up for tomorrow and check the tyre pressures. Thanks to putting in the extra bit of petrol, we qualified for our £5 Morrisons Miles voucher, so we paid £20 and, effectively, got £5 back! Nice! :D

I've done all the pre-flight checks and mucked out the car (where DO all those sweetie wrappers and empty carrier bags come from?? ). I've done the ironing and our packing is done apart from toiletries and teddies. I've even worked out which route to take - I usually do that when I get in the car!

So, all that's left to do is write out instructions for DP regarding what the dogs have for dinner tomorrow evening, get the washing off the line, do the dishes and paint my fingernails a fetching shade of metallic blue.

Yesterday's yoghurt is one of the best batches I've made - if only I knew what I did differently, I'd do it every time! The little chocolate and cherry cakes go down very nicely with a cup of tea, so they have been well received too.

Hugs to all who would like one - and see you on Wednesday evening!
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:
