Thank you - i often feel like sleeping, but then not much at all would get done. I often flake on here after dinner and do nothing else.
I did far too much, for me anyway. I think all you super fliers would think its not much at all.
do what YOU can. We all have different sized houses, different amounts of people to take care of, differing levels of help. I.e. we all do a good job cos we are doing something constructive. Please don't get down hearted cos others appear to do more, as one persons oven clean may be 5 mins, and someone else could be there hours later, if you see what i meanloopy-loo73 wrote:i've no oven cleaner, any idea how i can get the cr*p off the bottom of the oven without
i posted a tip the other week from martins book. Wipe out your warm oven after it has been used, with neat white vinegar. It brought the gunk off the bottom with no effort, and with the rough side of a washing up sponge and some scrubbing, even worked on the glass0 -
 Hello!
Just wanted to check in because I haven't for so long. This is my 4th week of flying and I'm hooked! I have only joined this thread a couple of times before (sorry) because I've found if I get on here in the day when DS is having a nap, I don't shift! Hope its okay but to stop me checking this thread all the time I've printed off lists but altered them for me so I keep to doing things on set days. I've done the same with dallies too so that I can tick off what I've done and (in theroy) DH can check what needs doing and do it (he never does though:rolleyes: )
The first two weeks were hard, I had to force myself to get going but now I'm on top it all I love whizzing round and making everywhere nice again - I've evern tackled the oven and hole that was my spare room. I didn't do anything on Friday as DH was off work and I felt crap. I think I'm addicated to flying now, DH thinks I've got OCD.Now I've done it a couple of weeks it takes no time to keep it clean and tidy. The only place left to tackle is the garage and I've started with 10 mins here and there and it WILL get done this week.
We have decided to move house and have the valuers round at the weekend, normally I'd be in a mad panic about this but because of flying I know everything will look great. Once the garage is sorted, its just a case of an extra hoover and dust before they arrive because everywhere already looks good, windows are clean, no piles of crap everywhere. So MASSIVE THANKS to this thread for that and I will try and post more now.:TLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -

I found quite a bit of stuff under the stairs needed to go out into the shed with the one problem the shed was a tip. So ive tidied the shed, cut the lawn and strimmed the edges, seeing as i had it all out. Filled the shed and found a few bits to freecycle. never done it but things are just gathering dust and not used so they are going, im not moving house with them again for them never to be used!!
Right kitchen calls and while im in the fridge/freezer im going to pull something out to eat this eve!!
see you later!0 -
Almost done! Just soaking oven shelves in the bath, they weren't that bad, but I couldn't shift it with a scourer - baby belly now makes it very uncomfortable to reach the sink:p . After that, it's just the floor. Will do that when DH and DS go out to visit our friends. Poor DH, all day at work, then I shift him out of the door to go and spend time with his mates while I scrub the floor. What a hard life!
My hands are now really skanky after a week of flying. Dry, red skin and split nails. On the upside, my house could be in the in an issue of Home and Garden - if they did a council flat one!:rotfl:
I have a friend coming this week (supposedly:rolleyes: ) to pick up all of the items for the recycle centre which are currently residing in the hall. Five black bags and seven "large" items  . At least we won't be robbed, no burglar could negotiate that kind of mess - it's taken us four days to learn how to navigate it without harming ourselves.:D
Well, off I go to scrub these oven shelves. Wish me luck.0 -
Updated my thread above.. most of the mini-tasks are now done.. hubby is making more mess in the front room all in the name of tidying lol.. we need to sort through all the toys once they are accessible and donate them to any loon who will take them!!
The upstairs doesn't actually look like my house!!!!!! I have carpet in every room (and floor in the ones with no carpet) twinkling sinks and taps and tiles, stinkless bins.. one of the little treasures has taken to peeing in the bin in the loo, The windows are actually clean!!! The stairs look lovely.
Just going to put food in to cook and I'll attack the hallway while it is doing.
I will have a nice house.. though I now believe it WILL kill me lol
