Most of what I have to catch up on lil_me is the extra stuff rather than the list stuff. I may do the kitchen floor today after I have finished in the garden, but only so I know I don't have to do it tomorrow.
Lunch is cooking so I thought I'd catch up on what everyone else has been up to. I have enough trouble keeping mine and my BF's mess undercontrol, how those of you with kids cope I really don't know. No idea how my mother used to either, for a good few years it was just her, me and my sister plus she was working full time and yet still the house was clean and tidy, the washing all done at the weekends, home cooked food on the table each night !! She managed to pursuade me and my sister that if we didn't tidy up our mess then the vacuum cleaner would eat all our toys ! It worked, she only had to say she was going to do the vacuuming and we'd go running off to tidy up.
Right off to strip the bed and get the washing in the machine, that'll be another job done off the list.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Good afternoon Michelle, you lucky devil! Thanks, yes it's dragging on, wish it'd just naff off, marching back to the GPs next week if these tablets don't work soon! I think you need to share your lovely DH out, we could all do with someone who does that!
He can be very helpful, but isn't always around. I think today was compensating for the fact that i lost the battle of who got the lie in.
Must agree with Michelle on the where is April going, this year in general, Good bit is we're on holiday mid June
yep - i am SAT marking in may and june, and then we are away on the 18th of June to the 25th, and my sister is getting married on the 16th.
the house needs to be as organised as possible by then as i will want to spend as much of the day as i can manage marking, and hopefully get some extra papers, as money will soon run out now i'm not earning anything else. That's when my routines will hopefully pay their own way, and it will be getting on for a year of me being involved in these challenges and i will still have some clutter.
I've put the baby in his swing, and he is actually enjoying it for a change, so both me and DH can have some me-time. Hopefully it is nap time soon as i feel shattered.
I blame my neighbours. They are all busily washing cars, cutting grass etc etc, and we feel like slobs in comparison.

Well done fliers - we've all been busy! DH and I bought went halfsies on a vax carpet cleaner with MIL today, so the carpet is drying as we speak. I'm ashamed to say that the water was absolutely filthy! Dust, sand, tar and who-knows-what-else. Gross.
Baby boy has gone for a walk along the river with is nanny, bampy and cousin today (they like to get a little time on their own with them on the weekends), so I've had time to clean. Isn't it amazing how excited you get about new appliances? DH and I were positively giggly on the way back from argos. Sad, but true!
Hope you've all got as much sun and fun as us. Take care and enjoy your weekend. Mara x0 -
Well shoppings done, I got more planters
but guess what I forgot, I've ran out of compost :rotfl: only day I'd rather be in shops with air con, it's 25 degrees out there! I'm fussy and hate it too hot or cold, this is too hot for me so UK hols ideal
Kids dinner just finished, we're eating later as DP isn't done yet, chicken kebabs & potato wedges, quick and easy. Couldn't eat a roast today, nevermind stand and cook it, tooo hot!
Maralum, well done, Vax I love mine, but my sister tends to have it more than I do, didn't go halves either and last time she borrowed it she's broken the large attatchment for it so I need to buy a new one before I can use that again, must remember to look on eBay for one. After buying a Vax it made me put wood floors downstairs, ok they take some cleaning but nothing gets 'stuck' in a carpet.
While I was out dog and puppy, between them or one of them, shredded my tumble drier sheets, grrrr! Have swept it all up now, but there is one thing, with all the fragrance in them downstairs smells lovely :rotfl:
I'm going to do tomorrows list now while I have time with having to cook late etc, so that'll be up in a mo.One day I might be more organised...........

lil_me- have you ever tried a flannel in your tumble dryer that has been squirte with watered down fabric conditioner instead of the tumble drier sheets? I've not got a drier, but my dad was astounded at the price of the sheets when he went to buy some recently and I found this on the internet as an alternative for him.
As for us today we've been in the garden alot tidying round.
Two loads of washing done, one load first thing and the second after DH and DS had been swimming. Ironing waiting to be done.
Finally got around to planting the seed potatoes that have been chitting for weeks.
Will need to do a quick tidy in the lounge tonight as our social worker is coming tomorrow. Should have time to do a quick tidy in kitchen/dining room before she arrives in the morning then I can get on with list once she has left.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

I've actually intended in stopping using them, I bought 2 of those ball things which appear to work better for the static, but I will try that flannel trick, never thought of that before.
Well second batch of muffins now in, I slipped with the flourso ended up making 2 batches, at least they will last. Coughings almost stopped but still voiceless. Thankfully DPs took boys out with the dogs for a walk so off to do the last vacuuming of the day
