:rotfl:Not much else going on. I'm hiding away from the shed-building. I don't need to learn any more swear words.....
That's my excuse not to help when DP is doing DIY or working on the car.
Well dailies I can do whilst DPs asleep been done, laundry baskets empty, have some things to put away upstairs but will wait until he gets up, even made him sandwiches for work, apart from making dinner, bath time etc which of course is later that's about all I can do for now. Think I might drag out one of the cupboards to resort through, it's a bit disorganised lately as things have just been dumped back in the cupboard after use, shopping also just been dumped, big pantry cupboard is the worst so might do that, I have all day after all :rolleyes:One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
First load of washing just finished so will hang that out now and start off the second load.
Most of the shed is up but there is much head-scratching going on over the sliding door....0 -
If it's a metal shed like mine the sliding doors are a nightmare, be very careful with them too, runners on mine have snapped just from opening and closing, so now have 2 extra locks top and bottom just to keep it closed.
Suprised as just been out and wash load from this morning is dry already! Waiting for laminator to heat up so I can do wipe clean inventory sheet for pantry, opened the door before, I think I've been a tad brave saying I'll do it, but needs must. Bet I find a tin of something out of dateOne day I might be more organised...........

Aimee sorry to hear the weather near you isn't very nice, thought we were in for a downpour but so far it's quite sunny.
Its absolutely glorious here, i checked the weather forcast this am and it suggested rain, just checked it again and its gone!!!! YAY! :T
Done a few DIY tasks this am - fitted the rotary washing line holder thing in the ground. Large lump hammer and bit of wood. Now my whirlygig can go up and the washing wont end up in the hedge. Also took down the broken coat hook, bought a new one yesterday so ive marked where it needs to go on the wall ready for my housemate to bring a drill home. I then condensed the broken one (2/4 pegs were broken) chopped it down and its ready now to fit into the airing cupboard.
Going to hoover, pack my swimming stuff (going swimming with my housemate and his kids should be fun. I had a phonecall to warn my that one of the kids is so excited as he gets to see my pants............ ) and then think about what food i need to get for this eve. It will be nice d@mn it!!

Thanks for getting back to me. I've dropped little man off at his nan's for a few hours in the hopes that I can get some time to myself and also spend some time with DH. It's possible that he's just feeling neglected!
Will update properly later, can't now as DH is looking over my shoulder!!!0 -
Well well well. You're all so organised.
Sorry about the moan, just feel a bit stretched at the moment. Wish I could find a better balance. It's not DS's fault, he's only 4. How do you all cope with it?
I second everything that has already been said - I chose to stay at home (a huge change as it seemed to act as a catalyst to my DH having a major wibble and changing his job - so we are now living on 10% of our former pre-children income!) and swing from being the happiest person in the world with my wee-ones happily poking sticks in mud by my feet, to tearing my hair out and screaming for 'just one moment of peace' when they are whining for a ride on those blasted machines outside the supermarket (another reason for me to avoid them!) or refusing to let me go to the loo on my own. Of course after every scream I am then racked with guilt because I think I shuld be enjoying it more and I should be appearing to enjoy it more so my poor DH doesn't get stressed about earning a pittance..
There thats my ramble done with - so please don't worry Maralum - we are doing a great job by just 'being' with the babes - and thats what a lot of children never get to experience. I think! No - I know.... , I think....Is it home time yet?0 -
Shed doors are on! Stuff is back inside. Really hot out there so I'm having a cool-off before I get the washing in.0

Oh thank god you understand!!! I constantly feel as if I should be better at being a mum. I second guess myself all of the time and feel as if no matter how much of myself I give to my family, I should be doing more.
I then feel resentful because I can't get five minutes "me time" as even a cup of tea in peace is an issue. Rapidly on the heels of the resentment is the crippling guilt! I love my family so much but can't help feeling that many people expect me to be some kind of superwoman - but I'm not.I'm just normal.
