tracyg it's good to see us mums to babies can fly. I think i would be bored if i wasn't trying to.

If you could pm me those recipes, that would be great. No shame in using Gina. I tried her baby calming book, but it wasn't completely for me. It did give me some useful ideas of how to structure the day.

I can send you some annabel recipes in return. :D I've just started charlie on chicken meals, which he loves, although he's eaten everything i have given him to now. :j That will be useful for OS. I'm looking forward to being able to give him toast, and weetabix, and rice pud,and custard, and proper porridge. Much cheaper than packets, even if i only have been buying him the breakfast cereals.

Right - managed to get him to drop back off on my knee, so i think i am heading back to my pantry. The strangest things make me happy.

All the washing is dry, folded and put away.

I've cut the grass back and front, done the edges, and given the back garden a good sweep up before the new shed (hopefully) gets put up tomorrow. It's a metal shed and you don't get a separate floor, the concrete base is the floor, so I wanted to make sure it's as clean as possible before they start work. Not looking forward to it, expecting lots of swearing...

Michelle - i love your new avy, is that you and your LO? It only seems like yesterday that we found out that you had him, and now he looks so big (and georgous) and you are looking stunning too!!!!

Well, my excuss for this week is that i was away until Wednesday late afternoon, so ive done next to nothing!!! Have managed to clean the bathroom and toilet today, washed DSs bedding, got some seedlings planted outside and clean some of the kitchen - i have so much to do, but as im on holiday (last day today, i dont count the weekends) i dont really have the energy or the inclination to do much - so think i will aim for a fresh start next week!!!!

catowen yep. that's us. He's 6 months next week, and it is flying by. It's a photo from my friends wedding a couple of weeks ago, and i posted it earlier in the week, then thought, stuff it. That can be my avy. Thanks for the compliments.

in terms of flying, i've just updated my list. 30 out of 40 listed things done, plus some extra bits. I'm feeling a bit poopered, so i'm going to have between now and charlie's bed time to do things with him. Then i'll see how i feel for the rest, cos there is always tomorrow. ;)

    Evening all :hello:

Well I've hoovered through the house and tided up the bedrooms. The livingroom is more or less presentable (last couple of things I'll do when DD has gone to bed as it involves pulling some stuff out from the understairs cupboard) and I'm about to go out into the kitchen to prepare tea (OH is home early again :D ) and sort out the dishes - there's still not enough to warrant washing them :rotfl: I'll do it after tea when I'll have the grill pan to do as well ;)

DD has spent the day watching DVD's, scrapbooking (only sticking things like postcards, invites etc into a cheap scrapbook from Wilko's but it's hers ;) ) and now she's doing some activity books.

Tonight is my TV night so I'll be settling down to watch TV from 8pm if not before :D Need to remember that I don't need to get school stuff ready for DD as she doesn't go back until Tuesday ;)

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and makes the most of the nice weather while it lasts. If I don't see you before, I'll see you all on Monday in the new thread

Wow haven't you all been busy bees. All I seem to have done is make food and wash up. Kids have eaten loads today. Baking some spuds for me for tea, going to try that with some chicken, sweetcorn and mayo, my fave as another thing been lacking (aswell as motivation) is appetite.

Actions are definately being used here today, I'd just done the floors when DS2 came back and dumped a wrapper straight on the floor (which the dog then gets and chews up) so I walked over pointed at it then the bin, he soon shifted, didn't have to say a word :) I've been managing a squeaky whisper of some words and it's quite sweet as DS2 is whispering back to me :rotfl: doesn't help when my hearings also been effected so I can't hear him :rotfl: Only downside is dogs don't do sign language. Puppy's a nightmare and today figured out she can jump the fence between the 2 houses so been chasing her back in all day.

I think we're due for rain tonight, but to be fair the garden could do with a shower and all my washings up to date :D washing basket has one pair of DPs trousers in and that's all, so don't mind too much. My boys also go back Tuesday, a little friend of theirs tried to tell me and his Mam it was Wednesday but I found a calendar with it on, so he's not got away with that one! I've got most stuff for that sorted already, DS2s PE kit needs doing and one of DS1s books needs finding but that is all I think.

Boys need bathing and kitchen needs tidying then that's my list for today (kids rooms) and the dailies/night time stuff done. Well apart from my last minute sweep of dog hair from sitting room before bed :o I have vacuumed it 4 times today but the dog hair thing gets the better of me.

Seeing as I've got it all done and he's sort of behaved I might even fix DPs trousers while I watch tele after I get the boys to bed. I did do one pair last week then realised I had sewn the legs together :rotfl: so had to pull it all apart :o

Well done a few jobs but fly list was upto date so just blobbed around really.

It is now officially the weekend as

    A. Dh is home from work
    B. I have had a rum and coke:D :p

tea on the go, think littles will be in bed early as DD2 not had a snooze today and both been running round like nutters.

Shopping tommorow, need to get them summer shoes, so apologies because it is bound to rain as soon as we step outside of the shop

Hoping Pigpen is still alive and well and not eaten an undercooked sausage at her BBQ

    Have a good one.....

Shell, good luck, I hate shops on Saturdays and the weekend before kids go back to school no doubt will be hectic. I was wondering about Pigpen too, hope it's something nice keeping her away! Pigpen where are you? I also haven't seen mumoftwo or Becca online for a bit, but I think might be this week that they are visiting each other. Worries me when regulars don't call in!

Scaredy cat Nothing wrong with me time, reading or whatever it is you enjoy, helps recharge the batteries. Something I tend to forget myself sometimes. Have however booked a holistic therapy session for when the boys go back to school, must do a calendar check tonight as I can't remember when.

poohbear any sign of Roland yet ?
