I think it was not coming onto the computer till later, but also, a shorter list seems really achievable. Even if that was as far as i got all day i would have been pleased.
Plus, i know i will challenge myself to keep going, so it's a sneaky way really of making myself do more, and giving myself a pat on the back for my efforts.
It's all about understanding your own motivation isn't it.
Michelle, x0 -
Ahhhh motivation, I knew I'd left something in bed this morning when I got up :rotfl:
I'm sticking with the days list (which actually is almost done apart from vacuuming not out of choice) and my dailies list today. I usually have a stack more I add to my own list, there is a lot needs doing/sorting, but I've not been getting it all done with being poorly, which in turn reduces my motivation because of failure, so decided not to include any extras until feel better! One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - i miss you!!!!!!
well off to comb dd1s hair  then off for cuppa with mum and sisters!! girls will play in garden - see am such a slacker - please don't get rid of me0 -
Bathroom is S&S'd, beds made and all upstairs windows are wide open to let the fresh air in, master-bedding out on the line and another load just finished.
Been to Asda (and got a bottle of Cola from Aldi for OH to say "Thanks for helping out this week" - at 35p it won't break the bank) and paid for it with 5ps from our bottle as I went to the self service tillI didn't even get a basket so I could make sure I only bought what I needed to get :j
Back home now and trying to get my head around payments that should have gone out to BT but haven't  I contacted them via email thinking I would get a more sensible response but what I've got back is complete rubbish and doesn't answer my query at all  Just sat and read through all the threads on BT over on the phones board and I'm about to go and post over there, then I'll put the washing out and make some lunch. I guess I had better hoover our room this afternoon and show the livingroom the hoover as well :rotfl: Still need to do dishes but there's not a "batch" worth yet so I can't justify filling the sink with hot water just yet, and I need to decide on something for tea...I'm thinking something along the lines of "Friday Night Special" which involves fishcakes (or fish fingers) and tomatoes, cheese and I can't remember the rest so I'll just make it up I think :rotfl:
Right...time to post over on the phone boards :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I try not to put the computer on until I've done most of what I want to, otherwise I just sit here and waste time. It's fatal when somebody else puts on the computer before I'm ready - I can just hear it calling to me.
Addicted me? Surely not0 -
Hi Folks,
Sorry if I upset rat lovers but we have one in our kitchen!! It was such a gorgeous day yesterday that we left all doors and windows open all day. Now I remember why we used to have a stable door. It must have got in and hid behind the dishwasher, came out to look for food late last night but DS2 'forgot ' to tell us. So we have forgotten all about usual chores and lists and have pulled out every appliance, kick boards, the lot, found droppings but no Mr Ratty. Now I am worried in case it is somewhere else in the house. We have no openings in walls anywhere that any thing can get in or out so it is still here somewhere. We also have 2 cats who are not earning their keep. I really don't want to get an exterminator in. Why can't they just stay outside, there's loads of hen and sheep food put out every day. I won't be sleeping until I find it.
Usually I enjoy living in the back of beyond but not today.:sad:business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

poohbear59 - sorry I wouldn't be sleeping either, we had a little tiny mouse in our garage (its quite open here and it had found the dry dog food) and used to lay in bed thinking I could here it move. Thankfully didn't take to long for us to trap it and release it.
michelle - thanks, the baby seems to like them. He was 6mth on Monday and I weaned him from 17 weeks (like yours hes quite big) so hes eating pretty much everything now. The red lentil is his fav and a really good source of protein, not tired him with the corn chowder yet but I had a taste and it was nice. They are receipes from (if I dare admit it) Gina Ford's weaning book. Have actually found her books the best for tips and receipes, etc. but I don't follow the rountine. Let me know and happily PM you the receipes if you want them. Congrats on the first tooth but watch out now - mines got 2 bottom ones and will bite if he can!
I've been using the same motivation as Michelle to get things done, keep breaking the day into little bits when DS is asleep and think if I can just do this, that and that I'll be happy. Seems to work and I have good about myself even if I've only got us dressed, fed and played.
Have just done a quick tidy and hoover round before the dreaded estate agent comes so having an hour to myself first. Before flying I would have been running round like an idiot to get straight from them but am enjoying a cup of tea first and we've been to swimming toddler/baby group this morning. DS and dogs have gone with granny for a few hours so I can have a minute which is lovely but missing them and the house is quiet! Also DH is treating me to a chippy tonight so no cooking either - what a lovely day, am off for another tea and will be back flying next week!
Hope everyone has a good weekend! Enjoy the weatherLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -

There's a lot of difference between a pet rat and a wild rat. I'm not sure I'd want a wild rat running around my kitchen.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
