Tried flylady a while back but slipped back somewhat, specially over holiday times like this.

Partner is good, cooks etc but just thinks I am nuts when I do these tecniques and suggest we should keep it up.

But, I have just had my horrible white sink replaced with a stainless steel one. Yipee. Much easier to keep clean.

Right.. my 'short list'... yeah and who exactly am I kidding??

This morning hubby and I decided that we would have a BBQ on Thursday.. if anyone is passing feel free to pop by.. we really won't notice any more people!!! We are having at least 20 children of varying ages.. and probably about 15 adults.. scary stuff!!

SO.. the entire house has to be gutted, cleaned, habitablised and pretty.. we don't want people thinking we are scrotes do we?? that includes the middle room :eek::eek::eek:

    Today ..

I have done the mountain of washing, all dried and put away.
Done a tesco order for Wednesday delivery.. just in case!
the DW has done its stuff.. twice.
The kitchen is clean and twinkly.. just need to mop the floor, but that can wait until Thursday morning as I'll just trash it again before then.

the rest of the week includes..

    The bathroom.
    Clean loo, bath, sink.
    Put away all unused toiletries
    wash window
    clean floor.

    The loo.
    wash floor
    clean loo
    clean window
    empty and wash bin

    The front room.

    wipe sofas
    vacuum crappet
    water Howea
    wipe mantle

    The back room

    Find and wipe sofa
Hide ebay boxes.. might end up with these in my room for now
    clear PC desk!!!!!
    Rehang curtains

    The hallway. again!!

    Clear all the mess!!
    Wipe clock and gas cupboard
Make sure under the stairs is neat and tidy!
    mop floor.

    The boys room.

    Rebox toys
put all PS2 games in their proper boxes and pile them neatly.
    Put all clothes away
    vacuum

    The girls room.

    Put all clothes away
    Put all toys away
    tidy PC and PS2

    Landing

DD1 to clear the landing.. most of it is her mess.
    Vacuum landing and stairs

middle room.. it actually has floor now which is a major bonus we couldn't even see the floor this morning.. 4 binbags of rubbish later there is floor and the majority of the toys are boxed.. I am going to sort through them all and get rid of most of them though we really don't need this many.
    So..

    Find more floor
Make sis collect her washing machine
    freecycle the old DW
restack the toy boxes so they aren't threatening to kill the next person who goes in there!

Wednesday I need to prepare food, buns, couscous, sausage rolls etc..

That's the next 2 days spoken for!!!

Blimey pigpen, you've got your work cut out for you! I've done b**- all flywise today, if I wasn't going back to work I'd pop round and lend a hand.. (Phew that's me off the hook..)

I did loads in the garden yesterday, it's bigger than I can cope with but if I do it fly-style and divide it into separate 'rooms' I'm less overwhelmed. I also did a load of freezer cooking for the week 'cos I know I'll be tired out.I've spent the last 6 hours on the sofa with a new book, lazy indulgence!

Really not looking forward to tomorrow but trying to squeeze the last drops of the weekend out without letting my head get out of holiday mode before time.

    Have a useful evening all.

Justamum, heres to a speedy recovery - that takes priority, the cleaning will be there next week when the list comes around! Just do the necessary until your back up to strength and then you can fly with avengance!

Sadly you are right about the cleaning being there next week. It's a bit like painting the Forth Bridge isn't it? And DH has been off for the long weekend, but is about as much use as an igloo in the desert - he can't cook, doesn't know how to use the wm, complains constantly about the mess but makes it worse when he "tidies up", and moans "I'm bored" all the time. Actually the children don't say that, but he at 45 does if he's at home for more than half a day. I've had to drag myself out of bed periodically to put the washing on and get something out of the freezer for him to heat up.

And he reckons he would swap places with me!!!!

Whooohooo I'm done, well apart from a few things I ran out of time for but I did do extra things like plant lots in the garden, shopping for play sand, gardening and DIY stuff etc with both boys, what a nightmare! Few other things too. Have sorted through some of DS1s clothes but not all, will finish that over the week, same with the weeding/grass removal on path, will just keep going at it when I am out there. Sinks shiney, kids fed bathed and put to bed (not asleep yet)

Oh I looked at the letter wrong, I only need to go to hospital (for some rather icky procedures) Wednesday and Thursday, so I should be able to get tomorrows list done without a problem :D

Michelle, photos are fab, can't believe how fast Charlie is growing he looks great in that suit aswell, aww bless him.

Pigpen, rather you than me, sounds like one of our BBQs actually, starts off just us then before you know it DPs invited everyone. I used to hold one after the end of spring and summer term for the lads he went to college with, instead of a night out which was pointless as they all lived miles away they all came here.

Aimee get off that sofa, sure it'll take you less than an hour if you get cracking with it.

Justamum hope you are feeling better soon, don't worry I have a DP just the same, doesn't tidy and would need a map to find the kitchen let alone use anything in it!

Right, Tuesdays list is up (Shirley will be pleased) I might be sneaky with the head start and put the oven racks in the bath tonight before bed to soak :D
One day I might be more organised...........

Oh no u started today! I thought we wouldnt start til tomorrow, it being a bank holiday and all. We are having family over on Sunday for DS 3rd bday so have to get the house recovered from four days of chocolate dispersal. DOH has promised to help me for 30mins each night so hopefully we can make a dent in each room.

 No rest for the wicked. Sure you'll manage to catch up over the week as I doubt you'll want to leave all of the sitting room jobs for another week, we're still a few 'regulars' missing who I am sure will be the same. Sheesh  expecting Bank Holidays off aswell :rotfl: what do you think it is Easter or something :rotfl: ?
