Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Just popped in to say I survived DD's birthday... took Friday off, went away Saturday/Sunday then spent yesterday driving around Wigan areas looking to get some idea of the areas we don't want to live :rotfl: Today we're making the most of the decentish weather and we're off out to look around the Anglican Cathedral (the walk will wear DD out ;) ) and then when we get back I'll start the flying for this week. I need to get a grip on the kitchen desperately as there is still 1 roasting pan from Thursday waiting to be washed and all the extra stuff thats been left due to no room for the past couple of days :o I swear I will catch up and keep ontop of the washing up if it kills me.

I might have to even make a meal tonight, Wednesday we had bought pizza and since then OH and I (and DD since she came home) have been living on toast & leftovers except for when we were away  Ack! Right, off to update Money and see how little money we have, then I'd better do something
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Michelle, I loved your pictures. And your list of what you manage to get done each day, I never got that much done when mine were littlies. As soon as mine slept I did too!!

Lil me Thanks for the list yesterday being the living room. It was easy to do and as I completely flaked on Sunday and my neighbour came in to help make dinner for me and family. I started but couldn't finish!!(DH and all sons worked all weekend) I have been taught to pace myself but the slightly better weather lured me outside and I did far too much, for me anyway. I think all you super fliers would think its not much at all.
DS2 made yesterdays evening meal (Spag bol) which was gorgeous but I think you could feed the family again on what is spilt and burnt onto the cooker hob. I've just done what Martin has suggested in his book and put a wet tea towel on it. I think I could do with 5 wet tea towels!
I have to go to Gym today for my 5 minute walk so don't want to overdo things, floors and oven can be left for others to do. I'll just do the easy things. Rooms are beginning to get easier to do each time so that is something I am thankful for. Thanks for the motivation to keep going if it is slowly.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
'I had a black dog, his name was depression".
  • ok i'm getting there slowly :o
i've no oven cleaner, any idea how i can get the cr*p off the bottom of the oven without
    thanks in advance
    lou.

Whose idea was this BBQ?? We are having at least 25 children of varying ages.. and probably about 16 adults.. scary stuff!! DS1 has now invited a couple of mates because I said they could have a couple of beers each.. they are all nearly 16 so it is fine really... which meant DD1 and DD2 wanted to invite a couple of friends each.. so there's another 4-5.. a couple of adults said they couldn't come so we found a few more to invite.. I didn't realise we knew so many strange people who all seem to have 4+ children lol

SO.. the entire house has to be gutted, cleaned, habitablised and pretty.. we don't want people thinking we are scrotes do we?? that includes the middle room :eek::eek::eek:

the rest of the week includes..

    The bathroom.
    [STRIKE]Clean loo, bath, sink.
    Put away all unused toiletries
    wash window
    clean floor.[/STRIKE]

    The loo.
    [STRIKE]wash floor
    clean loo
    clean window
    empty and wash bin[/STRIKE]

    The front room.

    wipe sofas
    vacuum crappet
    [STRIKE]water Howea[/STRIKE]
    wipe mantle

    The back room

    Find and wipe sofa
Hide ebay boxes.. might end up with these in my room for now
    clear PC desk!!!!!
    Rehang curtains

    The hallway. again!!

    Clear all the mess!!
[STRIKE]Wipe clock[/STRIKE] and find and wipe gas cupboard
[STRIKE]Make sure under the stairs are neat and tidy![/STRIKE]
    mop floor.
    [STRIKE]wipe dado and skirting[/STRIKE]

    The boys room.

    Rebox toys
[STRIKE]put all PS2 games in their proper boxes and pile them neatly.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Put all clothes away[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]vacuum[/STRIKE]

    The girls room.

    [STRIKE]Put all clothes away
    Put all toys away[/STRIKE]
    tidy PC and PS2

    Landing

[STRIKE]DD1 to clear the landing.. most of it is her mess.
    Vacuum landing and stairs[/STRIKE]

middle room.. it actually has floor now which is a major bonus we couldn't even see the floor this morning.. 4 binbags of rubbish later there is floor and the majority of the toys are boxed.. I am going to sort through them all and get rid of most of them though we really don't need this many.
    So..

    [STRIKE]Find more floor[/STRIKE]
Make sis collect her washing machine
    freecycle the old DW
[STRIKE]restack the toy boxes so they aren't threatening to kill the next person who goes in there![/STRIKE]
Banish the bunnies to the safety of the middle room so they don't escape!

Wednesday I also need to prepare food, buns, couscous, sausage rolls etc.. and I forgot to do a veggie count.. typical! I count 2 so far!

That's the next 2 days spoken for!!!

Friday I'll be recovering!!! and probably cleaning up the debris!! And hubbu is taking the monsters to watch that crappy mr bean film

How is that for a days work??????

Loopy-loo. I just sprinkled the bottom of mine with bicarb, sprayed over with my HM window cleaner (diluted white vinegar) and attacked it with a paint scraper - first time I have done this as was suggested on another thread and have to say very impressed.

    Good luck
