Pigpen - this is for you, the biggest fly i could find :p

    LongLeggedFly9oClock.jpg

enough of me being silly. :D Haven't done much off the main list, but went into the spare room and started sorting out the baby clothes. One box of 3-6month sleepsuits and vest/socks packed. Several outfits opened, detagged, and folded to go into the cupboard.

printed out wedding invite inserts for sisters evening do. Thank god it is 9 weeks on Saturday, as her money saving ends up costing me unfortunately, although she did buy me a set of 3 microfibre dusters from netto and wouldn't take the money for them. (only 85p - bargain)

DH reheated the spag bol for us for dinner while i did that. :T

I still have to make some crispie cakes before playgroup tomorrow, and as i don't want to watch anything on the telly till 10, i may also head back upstairs and do some more clothes sorting.

Master bedroom pretty much ignored except . . .

OH got into bed two nights ago and decided the bed felt wet (we have a waterbed). Ut oh!
Pull sheets back, examine bed bladder, no holes.
Pull duvet cover back to examine bedding - rather large wet area.
Conclusion - one of the animals must have piddled on the bed
    Bed totally stripped!
    Blankets in wash that night.
    Sheets in wash yesterday morning.
Duvet inner pounded in the bath by OH yesterday - then slow spin in WM.
Bed is currently made up of single sheets, single blankets (it's king size).

Oh, and to top it off, I got out my new winter duvet cover to put on it . . . IT'S TOO SMALL!!! So that got listed on auction site yesterday :)

Thursday - Sparkly bathrooms and super studies!

Utility room - turns out I can't face this one either. It's DH's room really, he uses it for recording and leaves lots of mess in there. Will pluck up the courage another day or just tell DH to get off his lazy behind and do it himself!!! So ignore the four points below, as far as I'm concerned, they no longer exist.

    1. Clean PC, inc monitor, tower, mouse and keyboard (remember more germs on them usually than the toilet!).
    2. Throw stuff out! - this room always needs this.
    3. Organise shelves.
    4. Vacuum.

    Bathroom
    1. [STRIKE]Clean loo, now I mean clean everywhere, handle, cistern, under the seat etc.[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Clean sink and bath, make the taps shine with a dry cloth[/STRIKE].
    3. [STRIKE]Clean any tiles, the window and the mirrors.[/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Take those bathmats out for a clean.[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Clean floor[/STRIKE].
    6. [STRIKE]If you have a shower make sure head is clean and the shower curtain washed.[/STRIKE]
    7. [STRIKE]Wash skirting boards[/STRIKE].
    8. [STRIKE]Clean shelves.[/STRIKE]
    9. Tidy airing cupboard - nope, on second thought, I can't face this one today!
    10. [STRIKE]Empty bin.[/STRIKE]
    11. [STRIKE]Clean radiator[/STRIKE].

Extras - Am off to hospital today to chat with the consultant about having a home birth. My midwife thinks he'll try to dissuade me and scare me in the process  , so I'm going to smile, nod, listen and still go ahead and do what I think is right. I think that my midwife and I will be the best judges of if/when I need to go to hospital on the big day. Up until 50 years ago, everybody had their babies at home - I don't see the big deal.

I am starting to rethink the whole thing though. My house is now so clean and tidy, I don't really want to make a mess by having a baby in it! What if I stain something???

Must also [STRIKE]realease more froglets [/STRIKE]today, poor little blighters need to settle down in their own homes - you can't hold onto them forever! ;)

Oh Maralum - I had my #2 DS at home and it was lovely. I kept it very very OS - I had an old paint-splashed sheet I'd used for decorating the year before on the floor and 10 minutes after the birth you would never have known there had been any 'activity' at all - the midwives even washed up the tea cups!

I can't recommend it highly enough...
    Is it home time yet?

Thankyou all so much for the support! Most people look at me like I'm mad when I say I'm planning a home birth, but I really think it's the best option for me.

DS was born in hospital and it was horrid. People telling me what to do, strapping me down and making me sit still, withholding a glass of water etc. If I'm thirsty, my body needs to drink, if I'm feeling active, I should move and if I feel cr@ppy, then I should at least be able to in my own home!!!

Embb - I'm due on May 6th and can't wait, it's a baby girl this time and I'm thrilled. Have to go soon, but will update you all after I've seen "The Judge" as we like to call him.

Then, it's a trip to B&Q apparently - thanks for the head-up scaredy cat! :rotfl:

Happyathome, I'm so glad it was a good experience for you, I just think it would be lovely to put my baby straight in her own cot and get into my own bath, then my bed! It seems much more natural, calm and happy. :D

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all :grouphug: My brain is in no fit state to recall anything I've read on this thread properly so I'm going to opt for "hugs to all who need them & good luck to those who need it as well" :o:rotfl:

I'm not sticking to the list this week as I didn't start properly until yesterday :rotfl: The kitchen is more or less back to my clean & clear standard instead of the dumping ground it had become :D Only took me an hour and 3 lots of washing up. When OH came home last night he found me decluttering my Asda magazines by chopping out recipes I want to try and sticking them in a notebook...I even found a Christmas & Bonfire specials  He decided that since I'd caught the sun, looked shattered (he's realised how much work DD can be when shes on holiday and in one of those "I don't want to do anything" moods :T ) and had rescued the kitchen he would cook tea :D So I did the washing up afterwards instead of him.

So after a week of chaos & lots of "I'll put it away in a minute" the house is finally back together in terms of tidy...now it's time for the cleaning. Only thing left to do in the kitchen now is the cleaning of the window & mopping the floor. So I'm planning on getting as much of the cleaning & laundry done today so that DD can play out in the garden tomorrow after we've been to Asda and I can chill ;)

    List time...
