    Hi All,
Got woken up early by friend who wanted to chat , so holding phone in one hand managed to do some tidying in bedroom. It is now dumping ground for all clean washing so need DS2 to get out of bed to help me sort and put it away. Now I have 3 sons at home don't know whose things are whose. It was much easier when (but more expensive) when I bought things for them. I did as much as I could yesterday but still waiting for a kind person to Vacuum lounge and mop kitchen and downstairs bathrooms floors.

    Wednesday Master Bedroom and Landing

    1. [STRIKE]Strip bed, replace linen[/STRIKE] after vacuuming mattress
    2. [STRIKE]Dust anywhere that needs to be[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Put any clean laundry away, dirty washing in the basket etc and clear the floor[/STRIKE]
    4. Vacuum (under the bed aswell if you can)
    5. Clean window
    6. [STRIKE]Remove anything that shouldn't be where it is, take is out of the room as you leave[/STRIKE]

    Landing

    1. [STRIKE]Remove any cobwebs
    2. Dust window ledge and clean window
    3. Vacuum landing after making sure it's clear[/STRIKE]

Extra for today (seeing as it's an easy day really) dampen down one hotspot

I am going to clean laundry room and also [STRIKE]filter thing from cooker hood[/STRIKE].

Just a quick check-in / catch up :hello:

Cleaned the bathroom this morning (first time since Wednesday :o ), and managed to finally put the towels/cloths in to wash (now out on the line and hopefully dried!) so I'm slowly getting the house back to normal. Also had to do a trip to the bank & library today (over the road from each other so 2 birds with one stone and all that ;) ) to pay in a cheque and some cash. I can honestly say that we have had our exercise the last two days - around 6 miles yesterday and another 3.5 today :rotfl: DD is worn out so I've promised her this afternoon off and tomorrow as well ;) Means I can get on with housework and the sorting out of the food etc:rolleyes: But it does mean that I will probably know every word to Happy Feet :rotfl::j:rotfl:

Right, I'm off to sort out the hopefully last batch of dishes (not including tonight meal ones) and put more washing in the machine. I also really need to get out in the garden and get some seeds planted  Oh well...no rest for the wicked.

Just a quick update, DS is having a sleep and I've managed to get most things done. Just stopped for lunch as I was feeling a bit shaking and thn realised I've only had a cup of tea today.

    Have done:
Nipped to Aldi for bits needed
Dropped clothes off at BHF bin
Done nearly all dallies, 2 left
Made red lentil and veg puree for baby
    Played, fed, etc baby
    Cleaned dining carpet
make corn chowder for baby - also did some apple puree whilst I had the stuff out. Managed to almost burn down the house by not switching off the gas ring and my hand held blender wire caught on fire!!! Was stood at the sink and thought whats that smell, turned and saw flames! Managed to unplug it and get it in the sink before too much damage was done but its something I can ill afford to replace. Thankfully DS was in bed so he isn't having to smell the horrible stench!
    Cleaned kitchen
    Tidy garage
    Put gammon in SC
Stripped off sofa throw, cushions, etc and are now on line

    To do
Send Dh up loft to store stuff
Give everywhere a good proper hoover
    Clean bathrooms
Change bed (tomorrow so its fresh for E A)
Dh is home from work early today so will get these done when hes in so not leaving baby.

Also fly list of course! Only have vacuuming left, everything else is done and bed change tomorrow. Think will take baby a walk when he wakes up or have a nice play together.

PS Well done everyone, loads of things crossed off for a lot of people!

I've been reading on here for weeks about soaking the shelves from your oven in the bath with bio powder - and today I've finally done it! And gosh, they shine - I'd forgotten they could shine. And I wiped out the inside with vinegar while it was warm after dinner and hacked off some black cindery looking stuff.....

Back aching now from bending over the bath (I had to bring them down and finish them off on the draining board) but I do feel accomplished.

Otherwise, just the normal washing (all dry and put away) and vacuuming round downstairs. Oh, and I did the stairs too.

And I remembered to clean the bath out after :D

Right. Shopping done but had to go to Somerfield as local veg man closed until tomorrow  . Girls opted for the paddling pool and ice-cream in the garden rather than the park. Currently playing piggy in the middle with little girl from next door so five mins peace (maybe).

All bedroom windows now cleaned inside and out (involved me hanging out of windows - still gave neighbours a laugh :p ) so think thats everything on the list except for making pie for tea.

Just been called to play ball - no rest for the wicked ;)
  • hi all, have yet to do anything! oh i did empty dw - dh is working at home today and had already laid everything out on bed when i realised what room it was - so he has now finished and i'm off to strip bed - reckon it can be washed and dried still

also my bedroom which was v tidy is a dumping ground again so i have decided i need to get to the root of the problem - i need to tidy cupboards and do filing before i can hope to maintain it as it should be

hugs to anyone who needs it!! and new people - don't think we are all flylady stars - i muddle my way through and just move on as it comes back next week - that you can count on!!

    Welcome back embb!

Well i have put supper on (sort of cottage pie type thing use up everything around type thing!) made lunch for my housemate (toasted cheese and ham sarnie using more leftover / need using up stuff!) and took it round to him at work and sat and chatted over lunch.

I have assaulted the airing cupboard. I havent done it since i moved in (sort of shoved everything in there and boy did it need doing.) I can now swing a cat in there compared to what it was like and it doesnt smell so manky any more. There is even room to move stuff i shoved up in my room due to a lack of anywhere else to put them in there and all the pet food which has stood nearby has room to go in there out the way!!!

    Feeling distinctly chuffed.

Now to clean my car, maybe!
