To Mazza (my quote never worked)
    ....
I also can't beleive how people churn out personal attacks, the word troll and bully when the way they have just spoken to a poster was nothing short of full scale rudeness.

In short some debate (and see the merit of differing opinions) and others play victim and attack if the see a poster with a differing opinion. Life would be so dull if everyone thought the same

A poster I clashed with on this thread and others, and suggested might be a troll, has vanished from the site. All his posts have gone, his profile's gone. I don't know why, I suppose Mazza clashed with him in the interim. I'm not sure he was a troll, he was certainly something of a bully.

In these threads, I use troll in its classic meaning. I have accused another poster of being a troll, today, and I used it in that sense then. Others have too. There's a limit to my patience when I see a certain serial troll inciting hatred of benefit claimants, and giving misinformation, again and again and again.

Here is that poster, in an earlier incarnation, in reply to me

Maybe, but I have two others running on here + another on the CAG website. I regularly switch off/on my hub thereby changing my address!

I agree but you wouldn't call it contraception if that is not the reason you are using it. You would call it hormone therapy.

I have personal experience of these type of drugs and never considered it's use to be as a contraceptive, even though that may well have been a side effect, and would never have described it as such.

Do mothers of 13 year olds given drugs to relieve painful menstruation say their daughter is on The Pill? I doubt it. Although I expect they say she has something to relieve her symptoms.

Really? It was suggested to me by the doctors and referred to as the pill and contraception back then. Doesn't seem that unusual. Common sense would tell you it would be for period related problems at that age

I have never seen your posts as trolling or bullying, acutally your arguments are reasonsed and do make me see another POV.:)

Oh I didn't think you were calling me a troll. What you said was pretty clear (but I lacked adequate context for it, given that posts had vanished). I realised you were expressing concern about posters who call other posters trolls and bullies. And there are posters who call people who disagree with them trolls; however, I've been accused of doing that when in fact, I was calling a troll a troll!

And though I don't know what happened here between my wandering off and the poster vanishing, he really was something of a bully.

For your information I am NOT racist, but this country DOES have too many immigrants that takes away jobs for British people.

I think that would include the likes of me too but I bet you don't complain when we are on high tax band and put a lot more into the pot to support those on benefits than we take out.

Did you enter the UK on a visa for one the of UK shortage jobs list? If you didn't, then it's not your taxes that are needed; but the taxes of the person who does that job, are - and there are no shortages of people in the UK who can do that job if you aren't doing a job on the shortages list..
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Contraception is exactly what it says, drug/s to prevent conception, which would indicate someone sexually active.

    Hormone therapy is entirely different.

My husband has hormone therapy, we don't tend to call it contraception.

You shouldn't change your mind on what you have previously posted just so it looks better.

I still think it is rather bad form to be discussing her sex life.

FYI she has been on the pill since the age of 13 as a part of hormone therapy. Bad PMT. Which now looking back is a symptom of the HMS, yes I know other people get bad PMT too. But it was another "Ding!" moment for us when we found out this was a symptom. She then went onto injections every 3 months, she now has the implants, for hormone therapy. It's still a contraceptive device. And at least if she does meet someone, highly unlikely as she's never out the door, she's covered too. So for the past 7/8 years she's been getting contraceptives for hormone therapy. Jeez if you want to criticise so much, maybe you should go read about it. I won't change what I wrote. I've not changed my mind about anything. I know what I know. If I've wrote it down wrong, then I'm afraid, sht happens. Read it as you will. I'm passed caring tbh. I call a spade a spade and contraception contraception.

Again I ask you, what sex life???

PD - Yes, I do have a guilt complex, so has my mother now knowing that she's passed it to me and my dd. But what can we do, none of us have it as severe as my dd. I wish to god I could change places with her.

Friday night, her friend called asking her out for a drink. By the time she got ready, she was too knackered to go anywhere. Same thing happened on Saturday afternoon, she made it as far as the bus stop before turning back. Was really downhearted, because if would have done her the world of good mentally to get out the house with people of her own age for an hour or two. Unfortunately these things are all too common and as a result the friends have fallen away one by one. Quite understandably, they don't want to be let down by her.

What I wouldn't give for my dd to be a normal 21 year old. If she was I wouldn't be on here as much defending the rights of disabled people. Probably because I wouldn't have first hand experience of the bigotry and ATOS.

  • Some people with disabilities can work.

Haven't you worked this out yet: nobody minds paying for those who really can't work and those in a short term job loss, but who usually work a full week?

Ive more than worked it out MMP What you state is not true though is it eg i have had posters say my daughter could do some type of job :eek:Another example ,hubby gave up work to help me care for our daughter and yes we claimed full benefits for 2-3 yrs, again we got attacked from the usual benefit bashers, yet when we started fostering and trying to earn a wage we still got slated.

You can never win because some posters just come on these boards to cause trouble ,bully and troll, nothing more.

Why should people under 25 be forced to live with their parents to save on housing benefit!!??

Also maybe do what they do in China only limit to one child per family.

I know of someone who has 12 children, the eldest being 21, and she has NEVER done a days work to support any of the children, and she rakes in thousands of pounds a year.

Its is people like this whom the Government should be clamping down on having children needlessly!!

They are clamping down on everyone, why should under 25's be allowed to move out if they cannot afford to pay the rent on their own?

All these cuts will make it very hard on these families with lots of kids. Its as good as a 1 child policy, basically if you have more kids then you will only get the same money as those with 1 or 2. Stop these girls getting knocked up just so they can get a bigger house.

People call things what they do... don't lose sleep over it. I would hazard a guess that you are not particularly young judging from some of the things you say. I find it hard to imagine that a mother whose daughter is on the pill for whatever reason simply wouldn't say they're on the pill... if they felt the need to qualify that then I'm sure they would... and if I were the audience then they would have no requirement to.

For the record many drugs are often not used for advertised purpose... the first antidepressant I took is also prescribed for eating disorders. Whether such patients with regard to the latter go around saying they're on antidepressants or eating disorder tablets I haven't a clue. The last drug I tried which was an anti-depressant prescribed to treat my anxiety is also used to prevent premature ejaculation in men... again.. if people take it for the latter I don't know what the recipient or prescriber will call it in general terms.
