Or indeed Attendance Allowance
Indeed but if that is a dig at me we claim no means tested benefits but if we could have £500 a week that would be an increase on what we get now. So do you think we can have our present income increased because of the cap or does it not work like that?0 -

Anyway it was my opinion and don't see why I should delete it because you don't approve. You see your opinion, a completely anonymous sanctimonious stranger on an internet forum, means absolutely nothing to me.
I don't think it was abusive but you obviously do although it has absolutely nothing at all to do with you. I suggest you put me on ignore....it is really easy to do, simply click on my username and it will be in the drop down box, then your sensibilities won't be assaulted by any more of my posts.
The first in bold could be easily rectified.
If you post on a public forum then it really is to do with everybody/ the public/members who read the post - and if I wish to comment on a post I will do so. I see your 'comments' on many posts and while some of your 'ilk' do actually give consistently good advice and support among the often snide and at times, in my opinion, abusive comments, you only comment most times it would appear, in order to make bigoted remarks to posters or complain about your circumstances compared to theirs.
I never put people on ignore, I realise it takes all sorts, and I have no wish to read posts out of context and, of course, I strongly believe that bigoted remarks/views/attacks should be challenged - or do you really believe that anyone should be able to post whatever they wish on a forum thread without being challenged by other members of the forum - does that not negate the point of a forum?
Your posts do not 'assault my sensibilities' they just disgust me - there is a difference.
You appear to be unable to debate without resorting to verbal bullying and personal attacks that are based on nothing more than your negative, judgmental assumptions and wholly bigoted opinions.Disabled people have become easy scapegoats in this age of austerity.

It was a comment in your singling out DLA and ESA when AA is specifically mentioned in the list at that link.
So, yes.
The list:
Disability Living Allowance
Personal Independence Payment
Attendance Allowance
Industrial Injuries Benefits
Employment Support Allowance, if paid with the support component
Armed Forces Compensation Scheme payments
War Pension Scheme payments (including War Widow’s/Widower’s Pension and War disablement Pension).0 -
why should the universal allowance be capped at average wage before tax? surely it needs to be net income instead?0

You can tell from my login I am 31/32.
I'm not bashing. I genuinely loathe them for needlessly bleeding the uk dry.
Again you are targeting all benefit claimants with sweeping statements like that Paul, like you did on the other thread. It's astounding that people thanked you for comments like that although not astounding which ones. No one is in any doubt that the shirkers need to be caught out, but generalising like this is what the government wants. Make it shameful to claim benefits so less people will claim them, whether they need them or not. Because of this hatred you'll get people not wanting to claim DLA or PC, doesn't matter if they deserve them, there is so much hatred in this country for even the genuine benefit claimants that people are put off claiming them. The shirkers aren't the ones who'll be on these boards or any other boards defending the rights of people to claim disability benefits, it's the people who need the help more themselves or for their family.
The hatred on this thread really is shameful.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

.
You must be reading some very different threads from the ones I read - MSE is a university for shirkers!0 -
In that case, I apologise, but you do give the impression of being a cantankerous, old woman.
That's not a clever thing to say to say to another poster, when they are one of the people who feeds, houses, clothes, etc, you. Have you ever heard the saying "Never bite the hand that feeds you"?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I think shame comes with longetivity. I think very few short term claimants experience any bashing or are expected to feel shameful. It becomes another matter when people have been claiming JSA for over a year, or claim ESA for depression, stress or anxiety for years, having done nothing or very little to get better, or those who claim IS and then go on and on having more children...0
