Problem with the whole tax thing is that there are a LOT of tax-payers evading their taxes.
I am sure there are - and if you'd like to start a thread about it, I am sure many will join in. This thread, however, is about benefit claimants.Well yes -- not all benefits-bashers are old.I love that terminology.

I think many people on this thread underestimate just how many working people are horrified when they discover the level of payments made to people claiming benefits.
The whole system thankfully will undergo a complete overhaul although how to deal with the fallout from those receiving far more in benefits than they could possibly earn will be a different matter.
I have long maintained that no household should receive more in welfare payments than 2 full time minimum wage jobs. Universal Credit will be a bit more than this when tax and NI are taken into account.0 -
