Sainsburys is most expensive, but i prefer the shopping at sainsburys to tesco/asda/lidl, its less riff raff.
Tesco is slightly cheaper but it has better return on vouchers and points than sainsburys, where the points on nectar is rubbish.0 -

no no no no Tesco far more expensive...ready meals in particular are a rip off - higher price and smaller portions ..double whammy ...every little helps ...yeah the shareholdersHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
I know what you mean about Sainsburys having less "riff-raff", that was certainly true when I lived in Newbury and I definately preferred it to the large Tesco the other side of town.
Now though, where I live there are 2 Tesco Extra's. One is pretty scummy but the one closest to me is actually slap in the middle of a very middle class/young professionals housing estate and is quite a pleasant experience (as supermarkets go).Because it's fun to have money!

I find Tesco expensive, but it all depends on what you buy.
Also extremely difficult to get hold of products I want in Tesco.0 -
I hate Tesco but it's only 8 miles away and I know the time for 90% reductions fits in with going midweek after work. Sainsbury's is twice the distance and I only pop in if I'm passing for another reason. I never get good reductions there as I'll be shopping on a Saturday afternoon and rarely find bargains, though they've had Butchers dog food tins on offer occasionally and I'll stock up on that when I see it. Also the huge packs of washing powder for £10 are good buys, though by 5pm on Saturday the shelves are usually empty.
The best thing about Sainsbury's is that the air machine in the petrol station is still free, Tesco charge 20p and my nearest petrol station (BP) is now 50p. I'd use my mini compressor but the lighter socket in my car doesn't work.0 -
I think it's dear too plus their reduced section offers very little off and it's usually stuff that has got to be eaten that day. You might get 20p off something that was £2 if youre lucky.
My local Sainsbury si also somewhere that isn't in the most affluent part of town, I don't know how it survives. Plus, I don't know, it never seems to have a nice feel about the place either.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -
