Been called for medical - not happy

Just preparing myself for the dreaded medical for later.
Feels very nervous, and sick!!
I have a relative with my who can take notes of what questions is asked, and what I reply with; even though I shall record the session on my mobile phone.
I will let you know how it goes, but I am not looking forward to it.
And it going to be a long journey to get there, and I know I will feel tired before it even starts.
Please wish me luck and fingers crossed; I have enough stress at the moment and a medical is the last thing I need right now!!
Take it easy, try to relax and good luck !!The DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -

NOT a bloody happy person this afternoon with ATOS!!
I was on my way to the medical centre, when I got a phone call to say that ATOS had cancelled my appointment because the lady GP had overbooked her appointments!!
They grossly apologised to me because I told them I was making my way their; all they could do was offer a new appointment!!
Good news on one hand though; my doctor phoned me to ask how my appointment went and when I told her they cancelled it she was not impressed and said that it made my stress levels even more worse!!
She also asked me if my appointment had come through from the adult mental health services as she did a referal for me; I said no I hadn't heard and she said she was going to ring to find out why no appointment!!
Hearing about this referal made me feel a lot more relaxed knowing that I will soon have another care worker again, as I have a lot of stress going in in my life at the moment!!
Thank you to the above posts for giving me support too; it is much appreciate in this stress time for me; thank you all very much!!0 -

Ouch.... my understanding is ATOS deliberately overbook on the expectation that a certain proportion of claimants won't turn up."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
I went mad on the phone and told them I was on the way!!
If they cancel it again, what can I do!!??0 -
What can you do if they cancel again? Not a lot other than formally complain.0
-
I should be getting a letter from them in the post this week with new appointment but will make a formal complaint if one is not received.0
-
If ATOS deliberately cancel another appointment, whom do I make a formal complaint to regarding this!!??
I am concerened that in deliberately cancelling my appointments, I will loose my benefit through no fault of my own ..0 -
The last job I had which was in 1997, I left the job suffering from severe depression, so the answer is no.
My doctor has clearly stated I am unfit for work due to other problems, and I am waiting for an outpatient appointment with adult mental health services.
If I was to work, it would be detrimental to my health and make it worse not any better!!0
