Obviously nursing is a particularly dangerous profession. I actually spent last weekend (a rare excursion out.. but successful one) with a couple of old acquiantances both of whom are partners of nurses... one male, one female... one involved currently in a rather high profile case that shall remain unnamed and you could probably take a decent guess regarding. But I do wonder if you could benefit from therapy of some sort regarding the problem declared. It can't be pleasant.. particularly if out in public in busy locations... to suffer that kind of fear unless the trigger is very infrequent.

I have required and had therapy over the last 10 years to enable me to live a reasonable life following PTSD and a severe depression following several incidents involving patients with MH issues. The final incident meant I had to give up my job as I no longer had the confidence to do it despite extensive counselling and anti depressants etc.
  • I am always amazed at how getting passed (declared fit?) at a medical is seen as a bad thing but technically failing a medical is good!

Or to put it another way, its classed as a fail if declared fit! My head hurts thinking about this lol
