We have discussed that. But not near me, nearer to sibling where she has a strong relationship with the little grandchildren. I suggested she rent somewhere near there first as a 6 month trial and keep her current home, to keep options open. She used to live in that direction until a few years ago, so has friends there. She is undecided and is in a tizz because she can't make a decision.
The renting idea sounds pretty sound..but then there are viewings and so on. Having friends that way is a plus as well.
But it could be too soon for her to make a decision.
I would imagine when she's at home it's like he's still there too.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).

Went to the play that James is in last night, have to say, all the students did the school proud. Youngest came with me (that was a shock) and the look on his face when one of his friends started singing was an absolute picture....a pure look of horror!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
When I got home tonight my husband told me that our lovely friend will not be with us for much longer. We will see her at the weekend and I hope we will have a few weeks.
She and her husband have been togethr almost 40 years - since they were 15. She has been our friend for 25 years since becoming our childminder.
Feel so utterly useless .
I'm so terribly sorry to hear this Spirit. All you can do is be around for her as much as you can; I'm sure you will be a comfort to her and her husband.0 -

Thank heavens I'm not the only one. I've fallen asleep in presentations ( even vaguely interesting ones), four rows from the front during a production of Chicago - the list goes on. I genuinely dread the thought of jury service, I'd be asleep within 15 minutes.0 -

Crazy thing is, I could never sleep in a theatre, a cinema, a bus or anything like that. I like it if every one else is fairly animated, relaxed and happy.0
