Advice from nice people wanted please.

Any views on this place, please? I'm seriously thinking of going for a few days. (Without DW, as she refuses.) Or is it just plain crazy?
That website won't work in IE6. However if you were just looking for somewhere tranquil to chill out in South Devon for a few days I can highly recommend www.southdevonholiday.co.uk, as well as the 'Coach house' there is also the 'Copper House' studio.
No commission for me on this recomendation but I do keep meaning to invite the IRs down to have a look at what has been acheived in the house and grounds from what started off as a stable barn with accommodation block, I think they would defintely get it, probably more than I do.I think....0 -
What do these 2 duvets on a double bed look like? I mean when unoccupied. Do you match duvet covers?
In the flat, we have a 6' bed. We thought for rentals it would be more appealing, both for couples who like/ need more room and for families where kids join in. I also thought in the heat it may be nicer to have more room.
It felt chilly when it was cool and not what I was used to, or liked.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. harming any living being
taking what is not offered
sexual and sensual misconduct
false speech (including idle gossip, harsh and divisive speech)
taking substances which disturb the balance of the mind (and may lead me into committing any of the above)
I think you may get bored and want to interact with other people there, so a lot could depend on who is there at the same time as you. Personally, I would try to persuade DW to join you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. We tend to 'make' the bed by folding the duvets in half width wise then lying them on the bed rotated 90 degress, yes they are matching, black duvets/pillow cases, white sheets which matches the rest of the decor (except for the bed frame)
When I was a chalet girl in Switzerland several of the rooms had 'Austrian Twins' = a large double bed frame with 2 single matresses. They were a bit of a pig to make the beds and some of the guys who arrived to find what sort of 'twin' bedroom they were to be in were a bit surprised...I think....0 -

Does it have internet?
H went on something similar in Turkey a few years ago and loved it. The group made friends easily and enjoyed each others company.
I would. It's nice to switch the merry go round off sometimes and experience the present.
It seems pretty cheap as well?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

For us they are on top of each other, but they all coordinate. ATM we only have two layers (this is thanks to the expensive but fantastic brushed cotton sheets I bought at cologne and cotton. First time we have been so light on bedding since...summer before last!
Anyway, these are candy cane colours, and the second duvet is folded at the end when bed is made, into thirds, so easily pull up able before collapsing into bed, or even once in bed. Others are similarly folded into the the top one as needed....
Alternatively the top layer might be a quilt rather than a duvet for us, because we use a top sheet usually. The brushed cotton set doesn't have a top sheet so we are on duvets and just one quilt which is machine washable .0 -
GDB,
Is dw happy for you to go or does this too meet with resistance? Presuming all is ok I would go. It looks a lot cleaner and less.....bright, than similar retreats in Glastonbury!0
