As long as you're keeping (fit) healthy then no harm in my books. The PC is far more entertaining than TV :)

Life is all about the up's and down's. There will never be a time (or long time) where everything is going great in every department of your life. The answer is within yourself (mind) to manage these situations, whatever they may be.

Hey all the ssses - how are you? Been a while!

At the mo things are generally going ok - certainly much better than I would have dared hope a year ago. This would just be a cherry on the cake - the cake is perfectly good as it is though.

Latest update on michaels family seems less encouraging - looks like being a long one :(

We seem to be going through a everything breaking period, main car still out of action as I think problem is hydraulic and 50-100 quid but mobile mechanic who has the key is suggesting £600 quid clutch and flywheel, not surprisingly I want second opinion. Then main PC is still out of action as I haven't managed to win the parts I am after on ebay yet and then this evening the network hard-disk seems to have failed which had the kids dvds on it and I'm not sure we still have the original discs for several of the movies :(

And even worse my work in London has been extended for another 6 months when all I want is to be based back in St Albans :(
Can I push auctionsniper to help win the parts. A mate once said it saved his marriage as he had to keep on getting up inthe small hours to bid on parts in the states.

I truly hope that the michaels family get some good news.

Work-wise: is it same employer just posting you in the Big Smoke? Or would you need to move to work in St. A? It really does seem to make you miserable - can you not push to work closer to home?

Wierd but true... over the last week i have seen 2 multiplas on the back of recovery vehicles. Each time It reminded me of you.

My sister had an Uno as her first car and vowed to never have another Fiat. On saying that, if I was looking for a small van, I'd consider the Doblo, in the short list.

I always looked on failure as a good excuse to buy something up to date on hotukdeals.

Well I have bid on 2 items, one I should have got but was distracted as it was family dinner time and I looked with 2 minutes to go, got distracted and it ended. The second I was at work so on mobile ebay so did my not-auto snipe bid with 30s to go rather than the 2s I risk on the PC at home and actually took the bidding from 10.00 to 33.51 my max and 1p more than the next persons high bid only be be zapped by a quid in those last 30s.

Now having missed two things at good prices I am loathe to pay more for the same thing...

Yep same employer, 17 years for my sins, they treat me very fairly but after they went through a bad patch 2 years ago they are not in a position to turn down any work and thus in the past they have rotated staff but now they just try and give the customer what they want which is always continuity of staff - annoying though as I know they have been using contract staff to do work in St Albans that I could have been doing.
    I think....

For those of you who don't mind looking silly, DH had me doing this tonight...

    1) Take a wooden chopping board and dessert spoon from the kitchen. If you don't have a wooden chopping board, a firm piece of cardboard may do the trick.

    2) Run the spoon along the chopping board/cardboard to make sure it makes a noise.

    3) Using this method, with your spoon, write the following: - 2 - 2 + =
It should play a tune. Name that tune!

Spoiler alert: scroll over below for tune name and please edit out if quoting:
    Chim Chim Cheree

ETA: if that isn't ringing any bells for you, try doing it a bit faster...

I think it will go to Red Bull. As you know, I will be supporting the Red Team again this year, but if they don't win, I will be assuming my normal ABH posture (anyone but Hamilton)...

I need to get up in a few yours to watch it, so best go to bed now.

As an aside, I've walked the Grand Prix circuit in Melbourne. The car park that they go over near the start of the lap is really bumpy. I can't believe the speed they go over that part.

Anyhow.... Did you get your chopping board out? Now put it away, stop playing daft games, and while you're at it, get rid of my spoiler alert...

It doesn't work on a duvet ( not even after a couple of glasses of wine) :) Will get the chopping board out tomorrow!
