Electric blankets are dangerous, my dog chewed ours and got killed in the process
 I don't intend chewing it. TBF I suspect the same thing would have happened had he chewed anything that was switched on and live, not just because it was an electric blanket.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Is it Acer/Asus who do something similar, a laptop where the screen disconnects and becomes a tablet?
I still don't think an ipad is up to doing 'proper' work but then I work in a data analysis role so my requirements for 'proper' work may require a lot more processing power than most others.
These guys just use theirs for email and to save printing out presentation notes.
Mrs Possum gave me my alarm call again this morning at about 5am.THUD! Scrabble, scrabble scratch. Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang. Scratch...........Creek.
It is quite nice. It would be nicer at 7am but I went back to sleep so don't really care. The bed we're sleeping in is huge! It's 2 king singles wide.
We've got a wedding on the Sunshine Coast this afternoon and then back to Brisbane and Mrs Possum.
I had quite a fun evening yesterday. I just wondered up to the local pub and got chatting to the barman. He's a trainee with Nottingham Forrest who got badly injured and has just gotten well again so is looking for opportunities to play. Nice lad although I have no idea if has a possum alarm call or not. I should have asked I guess.0 -

What are 'king singles?''
Our bed is I think a king....about five feet wide. Suits is as neither of us is tall, but we could easily fit another person or two in here. On hot nights its nice, we have lots of space, but I wouldn't want any bigger. I find this one very heavy to make tbh.0 -
Love reading your traveling anecdotes Gen. Nearly as interesting as finding out who in the Aussie Cricket Team hasn't handed their Homework in!;)0

A king single is 4' wide I think so this bed is about 8' across. I think it's also known as Emperor sized. I am Generali sized, not emperor sized so feel a little swamped.mystic_trev wrote: »Love reading your traveling anecdotes Gen. Cheers mystic_trev. The Cricket Australia homework thing is hilarious.
For the uninitiated, the Aussie cricket team have been playing very badly in India so the manager asked each of them to prepare a few words on how the team could improve. 4 of them declined to do so and were sent home! Opinion is split here about whethe that's reasonable or not.
I'll keep the travelling tales coming old chap. I quite enjoy telling them.0 -
Eight feet? We'd fit three quarters of the nice people in there!0

We have 4' beds in the UK.... and the name completely escapes me at the moment..... must be my age.
Edit: I was thinking of "three quarter". Wiki tells me it's got three names: Queen or small double or three-quarter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_size#UK_and_Ireland_sizes0
