You went to appeal?
We went to appeal.
Appeal lodged end of August, registered by them end of September. Site visit Beginning of March. Report due by end of March. A joke.
Saturday our next door neighbour announces that he doesn't mind if we build a house anymore, so we know where he stands. Oh, and that the assigned planning officer told him that we'd get it but, essentially, he'd decide when.
What was that you said about easing up the planning process Mr Cameron?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My OH was shopping this afternoon when the EA called and said that he had someone interested in our bungalow, the interested party had just driven by the property and saw the For Sale sign outside. The EA asked if I could arrange a viewing in about ten minutes. I said ok and flew into top gear to get the property ready for viewing, removing the washing that my OH had inside the Conservatory, remove Tashas toys and her goodself to the outside shed. Change out of my overalls and working boots, then my OH walked in and said that their was a Range Rover outside the drive and when I told her that we had a viewing in five minutes she nearly had a heart attack.
Anyway the EA arived and took the interested gentleman around the property apologised at the very short notice, the gent seemed very interested and then left giving his thanks at being able to view at short notice.
It shows that you have to be like a Boy Scout and always be prepared.
The EA called a few minutes ago and said that the interested party has put in a bid at 10% below asking price so even though it is very early days we have been given our first offer of many still pending we hope.:)0 -
Bertie, that's brilliant, everything seems to be happening really quickly for you.
My non resident parent has had their place on the market since before Christmas...no bite yet0 -

Thank you for your kind remarks.
Yes we are over the Moon at the thought of the interest that is being shown especially at this time of year because it is rather early, although I think that what used to be a tradition at Springtime whereby ones thoughts went to having a property change has really changed since the market went flat during the credit crunch.
Christmas is probably a good a time as any to enter the market place and the buyer has not driven by the property of your parents as of yet but it is still early days as Spring is still over a couple of week away. I am sure that they are like ourselves and thinking positive.0 -

I was trying to get my OH to work to this rule but she said that a woman has to do what a woman has to do!
Maybe after todays close call she might see the point of being ever-ready. I think that she is using the rule that one of the other EA's that came to value our property said that they always give the vendor twenty-four hours warning of a viewing and my OH was not happy when I said that we could lose a viewing and possible sale if that rule was used too often.:(
My OH wants everything to be as you said a 'Show home' and I fully agree but she wants everything to be spotless, Bless her.;)0 -
