James got turned down by his first choice uni, so it is thinking caps on to decide which one to go for now (he has 4 other offers)...at the moment, Bucks is top of the list with Herts as insurance but that could all change!

Mum cried when we told her, she was gutted for James...silly begger was trying to cook her dinner and standing there with tears streaming down her face.

Ah, sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure that wherever he goes he will soon forget about his 'first' choice. At least he has plenty of more discerning Unis to choose from :)

Don't you get them for free on the nhs?

Or just have sex with someone less fertile, no intervention required. :p

Or something I thought better about typing!! I haven't even had a beer tonight

I think you do get them free on NHs in clinics and stuff.....but who is that organised? I know it's Michaels we are referring to now, but even the master of optimising spend missed this one and it seems such a simple, sensible thing to do.

These things happen for a reason. Wherever he chooses and ends up will be just fine.

Bl**dy hard though when life knocks them so I can understand his grandma crying..My instinct is that inside I would have howled and wanted to reek revenge on whoever had declined him....but know I would have said sensible forward looking optimistic stuff. :o

Aaarrrggh. I'm supposed to be looking after someone's internet banking whilst they are off visiting King Louie from the Jungle Book. Have managed to lock them out :o And the other householder couldn't manage to enter the code to the automated phone call to reset. Oops.

Edit: I wasn't trying to transfer a house deposit to myself. Promise!

It took me a while to work out what you meant in that previous post ;) I must have it on the brain now though!

Lets just hope he got himself organised today and savvy shopped for a suitable supply. Between him and GDB I don't think I have a stong enough stomach for anymore "something for the weekend 2006"/ 101 things to do with a uses c*nd*m posts.

Maybe it should be a NP question for newbies..like mushrooms...."do you check the BB date on....?"

... House needs everything doing to it ...
Don't let this lot lull you into thinking project houses are the norm/lovely to have.... you really can't beat just opening/closing the door and sitting down on the sofa with chips to watch Coronation Street..... managing dodgy UK workmen, from a distance, while you're at work.... is front-loaded with disaster.

I could srite reams on past disasters ..... I want a house to live in.

I think the first time I knew I was in trouble was when I employed two local graduates (the intelligent sort allegedly) to paint a ground floor while I was at work for a week. Went through/wrote down every colour.... came back to find one room completed, rest barely touched .... and the room they'd done had white walls and a yellow ceiling and I said "Yellow walls, white ceiling" and they said "Oh - thought it was a bit odd". That and the fact they'd used my living room (only room not being decorated) as some kind of skivers den and it was full of crisp packets.

It is the internet, the clue is in the title. Does King Louie not have access to the WWW?

Is this set up formally some way or have they just given you their password?
