    S'ok. I'm cool about it.

Anyway....it's the weekend, and you know some people would be really grateful for the kind of safety my lack of fertility brings. Tbh, I am really, really cool about it ATM, in a very good emotional place with it right now...so all my positive thoughts on that subject are now focused on Miskolc and the chewies. (Btw, auto correct changes chewies to chewiness, isn't that great?)

That's the stage I had reached....right before I fell pregnant!

The doctor was trying to let me down gently when I went to him after several positive home pregnancy tests (I had to convince myself first) by saying that my condition could bring false positives and there was absolutely no way I could be pregnant due to the damage done (it was a million to one chance of falling pregnant) but was as flabbergasted as I was when it was all confirmed.

I now luckily have the wonderful thing that is no womb...so absolutely freeing and the byproduct is of course, no worry about pregnancy or cervical/uterine cancer but also no periods and thus, no pain!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

My housing benefit is just over £100 a week (soon to be £110) for a 3 bedroom house.

LHA rates (private rental) for my area are as follows

    Shared rate £57.50
    1 bed rate £89.93
    2 bed rate £109.62
    3 bed rate £126.92
    4 bed rate £167.31

I sometimes (often) think the country is so London centric that most politicians (and media) don't understand what normal is in terms of housing costs and salaries in most of the country. WE are outside the M25 but rates here are 150 for a 1 bed to 358 for a 4 bed, the 1 bed is probably the hardest to find within the budget tbh.
    I think....

DW only has to be looked at sideways by a man to get pregnant so last night it was a little concerning that the only Durex I could find were dated best before Oct 2006 :eek:....but by that time it was to late to change our minds or nip out to the corner shop :o

Too much information? I think I should have stuck to PN's dad's advice " "

A wonderful girl I used to know discovered much the same thing when her very uptight parents celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary shortly after her 21st birthday. When she questioned it, the response was, "I wondered when you'd work it out. You really are quite thick sometimes!"

She died a few months later of a brain hemmorage(sp?). I still miss her more than 20 years on.

It took me years to work out that my elder brother was born the same year my parents married.....but then in my defence, they had never actually said the year he was born, I just knew that he had been very young when he died (born in November, died the following April)

Turns out mum was over 4 months pregnant when they got married but they assure me it was all planned (yeah, who are they kidding!), my nan had a different opinion as she said it had all been planned in a rush!

Still, they have been married for 53 years this year and still very much in love, so not all bad.

The banks used to do discounted mortgages for their staff and don't the BoE offer something similar?

Nothing like that on offer for me. I can get slightly reduced fees/ preferential rates at some providers for being a member of the ICAEW I think but that's about it.

The silly thing is that we are only 1 hour and 10 mins away from London Liverpool street by train...def a commutable distance.

I like the relationships board, but I think the misery is part of it. Like things you love to hate, or weepy movies, or how sucking very tart lemons is painfully delicious. Tbh lemons wins over the relationship board.

Not tmi, IMO ...most of us do it afterall*, but tbh, IMO it's never to late to change the nature of the game at least, if too committed to stop before a short recess to corner shop for continuation.

    * auto correct changed to afterglow.:D

I don't like the relationships board and rarely spend any time there. We're not really from the washing your dirty laundry in public school. Which is strange because I don't mind saying stuff here so much as it feels more intimate and closed.

    How wonderfully appropriate.
