is not for the faint-hearted either.

I loved the Veet testimonies from disgruntled men using it on their knackers. Obviously spoof, but written in such an entertaining fashion.

I'd write more about it, but I've got to rush off and wipe away some cream from the Netherlands. :D

You are not the only one.

I'm always asking questions in films. Sometimes I still need it all explaining at the end.
I grew up in the era of double features so you'd come in half way trhough the B movie, stay for the main feature then watch the start of the B-movie until you got to the point you came in. At this point we'd get up and leave while mentally restructuring the plot in our minds. I'm not sure that's a skill people learn any more.
It made it easy to work out what was the sequence in Pulp Fiction, which I thorougly enjoyed.

But I lost the will to live trying to make sense of Memento. I work for a living but I don't need to work that hard to be entertained. I left grumbling that's a 90 minutes from my life I'd never get back again!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Dh likes memento. He disputes its hard work.

I am hoping there is a good film on this evening. We are both shattered and need an early night, with something relaxing.

I spent a good couple of hours reading those out to my parents a couple of months back....so so funny.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I've just noticed this in Martins tweet.

Follow the link, and scroll down to read the quote on the right hand side. As Martin says "It's not for the faint hearted"

LOL - that's why these things need to be moderated :)

On the other hand.... a great PR coup.

Having checked 3 recipes for what I am doing (for temperature/timing), all three indicated 20-30 minutes.

I put the sausages in first, while I cut the veggies, so they'd had 10 minutes. then I lobbed the rest of the stuff in 25 minutes ago.

By the looks of it all I'll be waiting another 30 minutes.......

Trouble is, rice is 4 minutes off being done. Oh well.

Edit: Just gave it a stir - have to open the door and stand well back as the steam escapes (I do this for everything). HUGE cloud of it..... sitting here with the patio door open else this place will smell of this meal for weeks.... or forever. It'll definitely be over an hour in the oven by the looks of it so far.

Edit2: It's ferkin' freezing in here with the patio doors wide open to let the steam/smell out .... this is why I rarely cook. Steam and smell .... and time loitering/waiting/checking....

    Hello Nice Peeps!

How are you all? What is happening, am I allowed an update from each of you?!

I haven't had much time to play. I fall asleep when I get a peaceful moment :o. I'm doing a lot of self development, which is at least a good thing. I count sleeping as part of that!

Hello Doozer and lovely to hear from you. :hello:

My mind is blank and I can't think of anything to tell you as an update from me except that DS has been having testing for anything and everything pertaining to his dyslexia, and we are awaiting the report about it some time in the next week or so.

Can we have a slightly fuller update from you, please? How are you, and what's going on in your life? What is this self development of which you speak (assuming it entails other things beyond the sleeping)?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Ditto

I knew if I waited long enough somebody'd say what I wanted to say .... but couldn't have done without some huge volume of nothing :)

Nothing's changed for me ...... which is nice to type as that means I am close to getting back on an even keel.

Lol, I read that quote in the insurance part of this site and almost spat my tea over the laptop!

Disbelief gave way to giggles. Then I had a look at the dog bite claims...just to check this was all for fun.

Spirit household mercifully quiet. How is you son now? He was quite poorly and missing mock exams - hope he is fit & well.
