Happy birthday Mr Silvercar. I would send you a cake icon, but I ate it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

That's going to be normal for a while. Come Spring though, the light will be increasing, you'll have been there 6 months, will know your way round and they'll love you. You'll have all those lovely long nights ahead and you'll be ready to get on with empire building. Meanwhile in the cold winter, you can be inside making things if you have a bit of spare time at weekends or whatever. Just don't try and do it all in one go. That was for when we were in our twenties...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? vivatifosi wrote: »Oooh, how exciting! So many NPs with new jobs at the moment. We need to know more now you've let that little snippet slip kabayiri. Incidentally, I've always wondered how you got your username. I think you may have mentioned this in passing before, but I have a memory like Dory.
I bought a couple of paintings in Kenya in the early 90s. They were signed 'Kabayiri'. What amused me was that similar pictures by the same artist would be signed under a different name for the German tourists who browsed their wares.
I am therefore in possession of ready made original fakes. A feat in itself!
There was a similar scheme with camels being called Arthur or !!!!!!! (I think), but I didn't fancy a nickname linked to a camel0 -

I think I've mentioned this before, but my parent's dog doesn't show any interest in TV, however she dances to Blue Monday whenever it is on the radio. Nothing else, just Blue Monday. I think she must like the beat of the intro. She taps it out with her front paws. Bloomin' collies. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Sad when it happens, but that really is the way to go.
Clearly someone was planning for the inevitable. House on the market within a week is quick moving.
They have left all her posessions in it too so I guess that will be sorted out when it actually sells.vivatifosi wrote: »Pastures I think you're in a similar boat to me now. The library job does not pay well, but I use it to earn enough money to work on my business. I compartmentalise my time between library, other work, leisure and stuff around the house. Generally it works out fine.
I had to make the library job work for me. It isn't high powered, but it is an enabler to my other stuff. Also, because it doesn't particularly tax my brain now I'm trained up and can do everything, even when I get home my brain is fresh to do "me" stuff. I'd rather be spending more time on my other work, but in the current economy it just isn't possible. Having said that, even if it was possible, I wouldn't give it up and put all my eggs in one basket, I'd just scale back my hours a bit.
The great thing about small and unstructured companies is that they generally need a bit of structure and are respectful of people who can do stuff, just as long as they don't roll in on day one and try and change things (I've seen that before:eek:). Give it time, I'm sure you'll do fine. If nothing else, at least it'll stop your house stash eroding.
It's all a means to an end.....the 1st week of anything new is terribly hard and exhuasting (due to the concentration and newness) but you are going to be fine PN cos it gets you to where you wish to be.
I remember when we opened our concession in central London and it nearly did me in ....in fact, had OH not been more in charge I would have walked after the 1st week as the whole corp feeling made me go all fizzy.
Suppose that's why we all do it in the end0
