A question for posh nice people.
Amex are doing spend £50 get £25 back at Harrods and House Of Fraser. Do either of these stores sell anything useful like itunes vouchers or similar or do they only sell things that even at 50% off I would never buy?!
I don't know the answer to that directly, so have text someone who works in Harrods for you.
OH said more/less the same thing last night, although I did spot some JL bags in her car, so she's probably been raiding the new Bennett collection already

Does having not shopped in either stores for at least 20 years prove I am not posh?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Val D'Isere brings back memories for me I must say as I used to take British tourists there by coach leaving from many parts of Britain, that was during the late 1970s and that was a hard slog in those days.
During our stay we could not take part on the slopes for fear of breaking a leg or something similar so we settled for second best, the supermarket and a case of wine. We would finish all the wine at least 48hrs before our departure for obvious reasons.;)
What a shame to go all that way and not be allowed to ski! There is not much to do in a ski resort if you don't ski or at least toboggan. And besides that, you can hurt yourself easily enough in the resort just slipping on ice, especially if you have just got through a case of wine.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Harrods used to sell I tune vouchers and waterstones ones. What else is useful to you? We have got things at Harold's cheaper than available at other places occasionally.0 -

No, real posh people shop next door to harrods. ( and in and round the corner or at liberties or most importantly at various niche independants or direct from designer/ house) . Harrods is mainly for tourists and les nouveaus.0 -

Hmm - I suspect they are probably still not things that would be within my budget however 'good value' they were...
TBH I am probably looking for something that makes a suitable present or produces the best return on ebay - where it seems Harrods vouchers do get 90% of face value so there is profit to be made even factoring the 15% ebay / paypal selling costs.I think....0 -

I was told a few years ago that there was a charge of £1.00 for using their facilities what the Americans called Wash Rooms, not sure if it still applies though.
Americans used to buy some gifts to take home and it was a must to have the Harrods bag to take home to impress the neighbours when they walked down their street they used to say with a smile.:)0 -
LIR you need one of these to walk your horses.
