I was told a few years ago that there was a charge of £1.00 for using their facilities what the Americans called Wash Rooms, not sure if it still applies though.
Americans used to buy some gifts to take home and it was a must to have the Harrods bag to take home to impress the neighbours when they walked down their street they used to say with a smile.:)
Loos are free now. There were always free ones on two or three floors. But 'luxury' washrooms which were a pound or free to cardholders were on two floors. It meant less queuing, better for cardholders/ regula shoppers who needed a piddle while shopping as opposed to tourists who wanted a piddle while looking. Now tourist money is the main income so piddling is free for all ( or was lat I heard)0 -
LIR you need one of these to walk your horses.

Brilliant! Dig dog rounds them up for me sometimes but leading might be a tad ambitious...she skittles off too readily!0 -
Hmm - I suspect they are probably still not things that would be within my budget however 'good value' they were...
TBH I am probably looking for something that makes a suitable present or produces the best return on ebay - where it seems Harrods vouchers do get 90% of face value so there is profit to be made even factoring the 15% ebay / paypal selling costs.
The might make a good return on eBay but iirc they are non resell able, and harrods LOVE to prosecute. Good sized legal team.
Gifts...you could get a couple of gift tins of biscuits I should think. ( edit dh often gets four lunches for the week for a couple of quid...late evening and a disregard for use by dates)
Eit...michaels...also for gifts check out clearence pages of website. My pestle and mortar was harrods...reduced from about sixty or seventy quid ( when it was over priced) to a tenner, where it was not.0 -
There is something slightly unsettling about dh in our house on the scaffold tower ( albeit not very high) painting a room which is now pencil lead grey, so almost black, to Magnet ( the wicker man soundtrack).0

OH said more/less the same thing last night, although I did spot some JL bags in her car, so she's probably been raiding the new Bennett collection already

Hey CK, did your source at Harrods give you the inside info on what gift cards they sell?0 -

They only do Harrods gift cards, in denominations of £10's to £500.

Thanks
Will have to decide whether I think there is anything that takes my fancy I think!0 -
What a beautiful touching story of the resue of a baby boy that ended up in the waters of a Somerset harbour and being rescued by the Harbour Master.
He was flown to the hospital that Sarah Beth was born in at Taunton where he is making good progress. Close call what a miracle brings tears to your eyes.
