I was working outside today. I've got a bit of a project going to clear the gardens of a lot of the combustible stuff: leaves come off gum trees all year, not just in autumn so it's something you need to keep on top of so no beach for me!
Where we are is lovely on days like today as we have the bushland across the road and so the kookaburras come across every now and again to laugh at me (link).
I hope my weather posts don't come across as a p i ss i ng competition BTW because they're really not meant to. For the record, anything above 38C I find very hard to cope with: I like to be the hottest thing in the room!0 -
parking ticket news:The PCN was issued because the vehicle was parked in a permit space without displaying a valid permit.
However, I have received confirmation that the signage is not compliant with the legislation.
I will therefore formally accept your representation and as the ticket has now been cancelled, there is no need for you to take any further action.

A good result for you too
However I am concerned that it has been you who has done the leg work if someone else did the deed - I think you need to let your DKs (DH?) take a little more responsibility for their own actions?
Also I hope (and I am sure it is the case) the signage is genuinely unclear and it is not just someone who knew they were doing wrong but hoping to get away with it finding an excuse after the event.I think....0 -
Hey, misskool....how is the car?
Guess where mine is? A random pub car park where I managed to get it to limp to. In future I must touch wood while typing on this wretched thread.
Choose me a car nice people.0 -

DS1 is the culprit. DS2 is more aware. My legwork totally, but he was under no illusion that he would be paying the bulk of the penalty if it ended up being upheld. Also I hope (and I am sure it is the case) the signage is genuinely unclear and it is not just someone who knew they were doing wrong but hoping to get away with it finding an excuse after the event.
The sign painted onto the road is definitely unclear - particularly at night when painted over signs show through. The non-compliant sign I assume was on the pavement post; legally it has been confirmed as non-compliant so who am I to argueSo I found this after the event, but if its non-complaint its non-compliant. Its a picture of a car, so legally its a car not obviously a club car. :shrugs:
In my non-legal defence, I would say, what the hell are traffic wardens doing in residential streets at 2am.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Is this the moment to tell you that although I haven't checked the temps yet they are forecasting 4-8 inches of snow countrywide next Monday/Tuesday?
How about a forrester for your car?I think....0 -
